Bottled Happiness

Stampin Up Bottled Happiness

Things are going well as far as my torn Achilles tendon goes.  I went from a soft cast to a hard boot.  I did not like the soft cast at all because it was so hot and itchy, but the hard boot isn’t much better.   Luckily I went to the Orthopedic Surgeon today and he told me I only had to stick with the boot for a couple more weeks.  Sigh.  He did tell me that when I stop wearing the boot I have to be very careful not to tear it again.  It takes six months to completely heal.  It is going to be a long summer!

Bottled Happiness is a stamp set I earned for free when I signed up for the Virtual OnTour mini convention.  There were four stamps set the were sent to all the participants and I was happy to receive this one.  This stamp set has a coordinating punch called Vintage Bottle Punch and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.  You can also purchase Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes where you can put some fun Effervescent Elements (which I think are tiny little beads) inside the Shaker Domes to make a fun card.

Bottled Happiness is a two step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make one image.  The leaves and flowers are made using two different stamps.  I first stamped the flowers in Starry Sky ink and the leaves in  Parakeet Party.  Then I stamped the outline of the bottle in Highland Heather ink on Highland Heather card stock and punched it out using the Vintage Bottle Punch.  I layered the bottle using Dimensionals.  Then I cut it out using the Scalloped Contours Dies.  I love how these dies cut out the scallops and the stitching.

Next I cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of the 2022/2024 InColor Designer Series Paper in Starry Sky and layered it on a Starry Sky card base.  Then I adhered the Scalloped Contours piece.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Art Gallery onto a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and layered that on top of the bottle using a Mini Dimensionals on each side.

  1. So glad that you are making “boot progress”. Ugh on lengthy recoveries! This is such a pretty card. I love the plaid background

  2. I am so glad your foot continues to heal well, but – wow! That’s a long time to wear the boot. I love this card! The Starry Sky looks so beautiful with the Highland Heather bottle. Keep healing!!
