Wisteria Wishes

Stampin Up Wisteria Wishes

We have settled in nicely to cottage life.  Usually we take two days to drive here because it takes 14 hours but when we tried to find an hotel when we were ready to stop, there were none to be found.  Apparently it was college graduation weekend everywhere!  We ended up getting here around 9:30 PM, unpacked the car of essentials and then went to bed.  It was a long day but waking up at the cottage is always such a nice thing.  We got out of bed the next morning and looked out the window and there is the lake.  It was peaceful, calm and beautiful.

Later in the day, my son David and his wife, Brittany came to visit with their two children, Olivia and Madison.  Olivia is going to be 3 this week and Madison is six months old.  We had such fun seeing them again.  Olivia is very sweet and very active and Madison is just adorable.

Back to card making (although grands are much more fun!).

I used the stamp set called Wisteria Wishes to make this card.  This stamp set has coordinating dies called Wisteria but I did not use them on this card.  You can purchase the stamp set and the dies in a bundle and save 10%.  I am not sure if I ever explained this before but when a bundle is available it has a specific item number that is for the bundle.  If you use the item number for the stamp set and a different item number for the dies, you will not get the bundle price.

This was a very simple card to make.  I first stamped the Wisteria flowers twice using Pale Papaya ink.  Then I stamped the leaves twice using Parakeet Party (one of the new InColors).  I used the die set called Amazing Thanks to cut out the sentiment.  I cut out the Basic White layer twice and adhered them together. I love how it gives it more dimension when you do this.  I used Fresh Freesia for the thanks.  I felt like it needed something else and I could not find a tiny butterfly in any current sets so I pulled out a very old stamp set called Itty Bitties to stamp the tiny butterflies.  I layered this on a piece of Pale Papaya card stock and a Fresh Freesia card base.

  1. This is such a lovely card, you can feel the flowers flowing with the breeze. Yuck on not hotel vacancies. I’ve had that happen and it’s tough to keep pushing on when you’re tired. The grands are really SWEET!

  2. Beautiful card, Susan! I love that you used Pale Papaya. Those girls are so beautiful What fun. Sorry you had to push through the night, but I know it was more fun to wake up to the lake!
