This was an exciting week for some of my grandchildren. Emory started kindergarten, Madelyn started second grade and Nolan is going to pre-kindergarten! I just can not believe how much they have grown up in so short a time. As they say “Days go slow but years go fast!”. I will show photos at the end of this post.
Rays Of Lights is a new background stamp in the 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I really like how it can highlight an image and I love the texture it has with the lines instead of having totally solid lines. I decided to pair this background stamp with the bundle called Let’s Set Sail. This bundle includes the stamp set called Let’s Set Sail and the Sailboat Builder Punch. You can save 10% by ordering it using the bundle item number.
To make this card, I first stamped the Rays Of Light in Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped the sails in Tahitian Tide and the sailboat in Parakeet Party ink. Then I punched them out using the Sailboat Builder Punch. I stamped the “water” in Starry Sky ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and then cut it out using the Layering Circles Dies. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and the birds. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Cottage Wreaths. This set is in the 2022 July – December Catalog. It has coordinating dies called Country Wreaths.
Here are some of the first day of school photos of Emy, Maddie and Nolan that I promised to post:

This card is beautiful, Susan. And thanks a lot. When I saw that background stamp in the catalog, I thought, “I can live without that one.” And now I neeeeeeeeeed it! It goes so well with the little ship. And, oh, my goodness – how do you stand all that cuteness? Your grands are adorable. Emy and Nolan are so cute, and Madelyn has grown from a very cute little girl to a very beautiful young lady. How did that happen so fast? Does your heart just burst with pride? (Silly question. Of course, it does!) ❤
