The internet is an amazing thing.  I don’t know how we ever got along without it.  I know it is also can be a curse but if used correctly it is terrific.  You can look up answers or ideas about anything.  Of course, some things are not true and you need to use your judgment about that but you can also learn about so much more at the tip of your fingers.  One of my favorite things about the internet is getting card ideas.  You can do a search on specific stamp sets and get thousands of ideas.  You can do a search on specific colors or you can do a search on techniques.  Of course, the stamping community is amazing in itself because so many people share their ideas and creations.  The best part is it is ok to copy someone’s specific creations as long as you give them credit for it if you can.  It is called CASEing (Copy and share everything).

Lately, I have seen a lot of cards using water.  They are not new techniques because I have done them before but they are fun.  There are several ways to do this.  You can stamp an image on a piece of watercolor paper and then spray the paper with water or you can do what I did which is to ink a stamp up, spray the stamp and then put it on paper.  It makes the image look softer and a little watery.  That is how I made this card.

The first thing I did was use some Stampin’ Up!® Write Markers with the stamp set called Bottle Happiness.  I colored the flower stamp in Polished Pink and Pale Papaya.  Then I spritzed the stamp with water and randomly stamped it onto watercolor paper many times.  I did the same thing using the leaf stamp using Parakeet Party ink.  In retrospect, I probably should have sprayed it with even more water than I did but I didn’t want to overdo it.  When it was dry, I cut out a circle in the middle of it using the Stylish Shapes dies.  Then I layered that onto a circle I cut out using the Layering Circles dies in Parakeet Party card stock and a larger circle I had cut out using the Stylish Shapes dies and Pale Papaya card stock.   It was a great way to save some paper because you can not see where I cut the circle out.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Biggest Wish in Memento Black Ink,  I tied some Pale Papaya ribbon (from a Paper Pumpkin Kit).
