I had a crazy but fun few days last week. I went to my son, Sam’s house to help take care of the kids while his wife, Tara was away. Both Nolan and Madelyn are in school so it definitely was not a hard thing to do. My son, Sam works crazy hours so I just had to help get them up and to school, pick them up from school and do the usual night time stuff with them. I forget how much you really do need to do to get everyone out of the house on time. It used to be second nature to me but I am a little out of practice. They pretty much know what to do themselves, you just have to prod them now and then.
Since I was not home much I had to make a quick and easy card for today. Although it was simple to make, I still think it is pretty enough to send. I used the stamp set called Lovely You to make the background. I just stamped the leaves and flowers kind of randomly spread out. I used Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Parakeet Party and Polished Pink inks. Lovely You has a coordinated punch called Lovely Labels but I did not use it with this card.
After stamping all the leaves and flowers, I took a 1/2″ x 3.75″ piece of Basic White card stock, stamped the sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set can adhered it to the middle of the images. Sending Smiles has a lot of great sentiments that can be used for many different occasions. Then I placed that on a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock and a Basic White card base. Simple as pie (whoever made up that saying never made a pie because they are not that simple!).
I decided that the last minute to add some Glossy Dots around the flowers and leaves to add a little sparkle to the card.
Susan, this is soooooo pretty. The wealth of color really draws the eye in
This is way more than “pretty enough to send.” It’s beautiful! Hope Tara is feeling better (and you stay well!).
