Cheerful Daisies Fun Fold

Stampin Up Cheerful Daisies Fun Fold

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up!®  is the encouragement we all get to share designs with everyone.  Stampin’ Up!®, other Demonstrators and customers share their creations with each other and it is ok to use those designs on cards that you make.   It is called CASEing (Copy & Share Everything).  If you do CASE someone else’s design, the polite thing to do is give that person credit.  I CASEd this card from another demo, Connie Stewart.  I did change my design up a bit but it was based on a card she made.

The card I made is a fun fold.  This is what it looks like when you lift up the top piece.

Then you can open the middle piece which looks like this:

I have been trying to make cards to show you the new colors Stampin’ Up!®  offers.  So far, I have used Moody Mauve, Copper Clay, Pebbled Path, Boho Blue, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock.  I used Lemon Lolly and Pecan Pie for this card.

First, I took a 4.24″ x 11″ piece of Lemon Lolly card stock and folded it in half.  Then I cut out the center front using the Scalloped Contour dies which made the window.  Then I cut Basic White card stock with a larger die from the same set and then cut that piece again using a smaller die to make the frame around the window.  I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive ink and cut it out using a 1 1/4″ circle punch (retired) and layered it on a piece of Old Olive card stock that I had punched out using a 1 3/8″ scalloped punch (retired).  I adhered that to the corner of the window using Multipurpose Glue.  You have to be careful to only put the glue in one corner.

Next I cut a 4″ x 10.5″ piece of Old Olive card stock and folded it in half.  I adhered that to the inside of the Lemon Lolly card.  I took a 3.75″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock and stamped the daisies from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Lemon Lolly ink, the leaves in Old Olive and the flower centers in Pecan Pie.  I used a splatter stamp from Artistically Inked to add some Boho Blue splatters.

The last thing I did was stamp a daisy and center on the inside of the card.  It was a very simple card to make.  Thanks Connie for sharing your ideas.
