A Present For Buffy

Spiral Flower Originals, Tag A Bag Gift Boxes, #onstage2016

One of the things I love about going to any Stamping’ Up! event is we usually either swap or make little gifts for each other.  This is the gift I made for Buffy.  It was filled with Lindt Chocolates in case she got hungry.  I tried to find coffee flavor because Buffy likes coffee so much but I couldn’t find any.

I used the Big Shot Die called Spiral Flowers.  The die makes it easy to make the flowers.  I think they come out so pretty when you are done and they don’t take a lot of time.  One nice things about the Bigz dies is you can cut out 4 pieces of cardstock at the same time so it save a lot of cranking.  Sadly, this die, as well as all the other Bigz Dies are retiring at the end of May (or while supplies last).   The Doilies are also being retired.  Of course, when I made this for Buffy, I didn’t know what was retiring and what was staying.

Product List

Bravo Party Pennants

Bravo, Party Pennants

Graduations from college and high school are going to be happening in the very near future so it is not too early to start making cards.  This card uses the stamp set called Bravo.  It is a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I also used a Big Shot Die called Party Pennants on this card.  It is a Bigz die so you can cut out 3-4 of the shapes all at one time.  I love this Big Shot Die and I am really hoping it does not go on the retired list that comes out on April 21st.

I have been talking about the retirement list for a while now.   Sometimes merchandise runs out on the first day it is posted.  Don’t miss out on anything and order today before your choices are no longer available.  If you love those Retiring In Colors (Coastal Cabana is one of my favorite) you better order today.  In Colors are one of those things that sell out on the first day.

Crazy About You

Crazy About You

The stamp set called Crazy About You is in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  It comes in your choice of Wood Mount, Clear Mount or Photopolymer ~ something for everyone!  I bought it in Photopolymer because it makes it so easy to line up the words.  This set has 33 stamps in it which include 30 words and 3 designs.  One of the flowers in this set coordinates with the Flower Medallion Punch.  The other flower coordinates with the Scallop Circle Punch.

The sentiment I used on this card comes from a brand new Photopolymer stamp set that is not in any catalog called Lovely Amazing You.  I love the sayings in this set as well as the fonts.

Watercooler Challenge

Banner1

It is time again for another Watercooler Challenge card.  The challenge is to CASE (copy and share everything) a card from the Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog.  I chose to CASE the card on page 36.  Here is my version of this card:

Petal Potpourri, Celebrate Today

I used the designer Series Paper called Stacked With Love (the same as the catalog card).  The flower is from Petal Potpourri that has a matching punch called Flower Medallion Punch.  You can buy both in a Bundle and save 15%!  The tag is from a Big Shot Bigz Die called Party Pennants Bigz L (no idea what the L means!).  The sentiment is from Celebrate Today which is also in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.

Hello, Fall

Autumn Accents, For All Things

I made this card using parts and pieces of some cut outs I did a long time ago.  I made a wreath of leaves I cut out using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and had lots of leaves left over.  I have a huge box of stamped images, punched cardstock, shapes cut out with my Big Shot, pieces of ribbon, etc.  Usually they are from a card I started and never finished for whatever reason.  I am a craft hoarder so I keep things like this thinking I will use them one day.  It is not very often I actually do use these pieces but today was one of those days!

A Beautiful Bunch Sunflower

Beautiful Bunch, Hey You

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a new stamp set called Beautiful Bunch which has a matching punch called Fun Flower.  We stamped the flower using Hello Honey ink on Hello Honey cardstock.  The leaves were stamped with Old Olive and then cut out to look like leaves instead of flower petals.  The Whisper White background was made using the Party Pennants Bigz L Die.  This die has two shapes that look like this, one being smaller than this one.  It also has two rounded edge shapes.  You can use it to make a banner too!

A Wondrous Wreath Thank You

Wonderous Wreath

The Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Wondrous Wreath does not have to be used only for Christmas.  This card can be used for Thanksgiving or just a Fall thank you card.

I made this card using a variety of different products.  The sentiment is from For All Things and is also in the Holiday Catalog.  I cut the leaves out using a Bigz Die called Autumn Accents.  You can cut out  four leaves and an acorn with this die.  I also used two different embossing folders.  One is Perfect Polka Dots for the leaves and the background is called Argyle.  I finished it off with a Designer Button from the Neutrals Collection and piece of Linen Thread.

Another Thank You

Another Thank You

I have been experimenting with my camera again.  I just haven’t been very happy with how my pictures are showing up online.  Honestly, I have no idea what I am doing, but I have been playing with the settings and they seem to be getting better.  I probably should take a photography course!

In any case, this color combination is one of my favorite.  It looks very summery yet so soft.  The colors I used are So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana.  I used two different stamp sets with this card.  One is Another Thank You and the other is Four You.  The pennant in the background is a new Big Shot Bigz Die called Party Pennants Bigz L.

Flower Patch For Freshly Made Sketches

Flower Patch

Whenever I need a little inspiration I try to either find a card sketch, color combination or challenge that I like.  This time I used this week’s Freshly Made Sketches card challenge.  Here is what it looks like:

FMS+Final+145-001I used the new Photopolymer Stamp Set called Flower Patch.  I stamped the largest flower in Bermuda Bay and cut it with the matching Framelits called Flower Fair. Then I stamped it again in Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie and cut out the smaller sections of the flowers by hand and put them together using Dimensionals.  The little flag shape at the bottom is a new Big Shot Die called Party Pennants and the sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes.  That is a stamp set that is not in the catalog but is available for purchase.  If you click on the tab at the top of my blog that says “Merchandise Not In The Catalog” you will see a few other items that are not in the catalog but are available to purchase.

Shaving Cream Technique Card

Shaving Cream

At our Club meeting this last week we all had a fun time making this card using the Shaving Cream Technique.  It is kind of a different and fun thing to do and it is very easy.  You just spray some shaving cream into a dish and then drop some ink refill colors on top of it.  We used Pacific Point, Gumball Green, and Marina Mist ink refills to do this.  Then you take a toothpick or the end of a skinny paint brush and twirl the colors around.  Don’t mix it up too much or the colors will mix together and not stand out.  Then place your piece of cardstock on top of the shaving cream pushing it in a little.  Lift off the cardstock and wipe off the excess shaving cream.  You end up with a piece of cardstock that looks like this:

Shaving Cream Cardstock

You can dye four or five pieces of cardstock if you use a lot of shaving cream.  It is messy but so much fun.  You can make your own tie-dyed cardstock.  We used Teeny Tiny Wishes for our sentiment because it has so many choices.  Some used the Happy Easter sentiment while others used Happy Birthday.  The window was cut out using the Window Frames Collection Framelits and the lattice is a Big Shot die called Lattice Bigz.
