Birthday Cards

Last week was my birthday and I received the most beautiful cards that I want to share with you.

This first card was made by my BFF Buffy.  First of all, you need to sit down.  Buffy sent me this card a full week before my birthday!  Buffy’s normal philosophy is you get a birthday month and not just one day so she usually sends cards a little late but as long as they arrive in your birthday month she is good.  Just look at this card.  It is gorgeous!

This next card was sent by Debby.  Debby comes to my classes every month.  I give the participants a challenge where they have to make a card using either a sketch, colors or theme.  Debby makes gorgeous cards every time.  She is a CAS (Clean and Simple) card maker like me.  I love every one of her cards!

This next card was made by Jackie.  Jackie is part of BS & J Productions and our Stamp Off Challenge so if you follow my blog you know that she makes amazing cards.  She has a great eye for colors and often puts colors together that I would never think of.  Every single one is gorgeous and I CASE (Copy And Share Everything) her often.  She also picks different stamp sets than I normally would and has made me purchase quite a few of them so she is an expensive friend!

This next card was made by Char.  She is a long time friend and one of my downline.  Char is so talented.  She makes such bright and cheery cards and this is no exception.  She teaches classes at the local library and has quite a following because her cards are so pretty.  Every card she makes is prettier than the last (if that can be even possible).

Thank you to each and every person that made me a card, bought me a card or sent me a birthday wish.  I truly appreciate each of you.

Birthday Cards Part III

I know it is unusual for me to post on the weekends but I received some more birthday cards in the mail that I wanted to share.  Once again, I have the most talented friends!

This card is from Jackie.  Jackie is a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator from Ohio.  I love her cards.  The are beautiful yet simple.

This card is from Lynette.  She is a Downline of mine.  Lynette makes fun and whimsical cards.  Look at those googly eyes.  Aren’t they adorable?

This card is from Kim.  She is also a Downline of mine (my first!).  Kim’s card is a fun fold card (which I always love!).

I have the best friends, don’t you think?!?

Thank you to everyone who sent me a card or wished me well on my blog, Facebook and/or emails.  I feel very special!

Birthday Cards Part II

Yesterday I showed you some of the beautiful birthday cards I received in the mail.  It is just so much fun to get cards because not many people send them anymore.  Here is another batch of them.  These are just as fantastic as yesterday’s cards!

Every single one of these are gorgeous and each one put a smile on my face.

I had the best birthday.  Not only did I receive all these great cards but Zachary, my son and Emory, my beautiful granddaughter, came to visit me for a few days.  I’ll be posting pictures soon.

Thank you to everyone who sent me a card.  I am truly touched by your thoughtfulness!

Birthday Cards

Last week was my birthday and I received the so many awesome cards in the mail! That is one of my favorite things about the stamping world.  People who stamp send cards the old fashioned way ~ by snail mail.  I don’t know about you but I get very little fun snail mail these days.  It is mostly advertisements, catalogs or bills.  None of those are much fun but during a birthday and again at Christmas, I get lots of fun handmade cards!  Today and tomorrow I am going to show you some of these cards.  You are going to see how beautiful they all are and how talented my friends are.

Aren’t they all gorgeous?!?  I loved getting every single one of them.  Tune in tomorrow for another batch!

More Amazing Birthday Cards

Yesterday I shared some of the beautiful birthday cards I received.  Here are some more amazing cards:

This first set was made by Lynette and Audrey:

Of course, I realized that the Little Piggy one is a thank you card but it is still so cute I decided to show it anyway.

These two cards are made by Laura and Karen:

Didn’t they do an awesome job?  My friends are so talented and I am honored they sent me them.  I am so lucky to have such awesome friends!

By the way, tomorrow is the start of the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  If you haven’t seen it already, you are going to love it!  If you would like a copy, you are welcome to come pick them up for free.  Just give me a heads up that you are coming.

Amazing Birthday Cards

As you know, my birthday was last week.  I think I told you a number of times so it is no surprise.  Of course, I was just looking to receive lots of cards.  There is a method to my madness (as my Dad used to say).  I thought I would share some of these cards with you the next couple of days.

These cards were made by Amy and Renee:

There were made by Lynette and Char:

Aren’t they all amazing?  I have very talented friends, don’t you think?  I loved getting each one of them.  The great thing is they arrived on different days so I got to open a couple of them each day.  As you can see, I had a great birthday.  Tomorrow I will show you some of the other cards I received.

Birthday Fiesta

Birthday Fiesta

Here is a quick and easy birthday card for when you are in a hurry.  The whole card only took a couple of minutes.  Life gets busy but you still need to acknowledge someone’s birthday so quick and easy is good!

I used the stamp set called Birthday Fiesta.  It is in the 2016 Annual Catalog has  a set of matching Framelits called Fiesta Time, although I didn’t use them for this card.  If you purchase both you can save 10% on the Bundle.  The Designer Series Paper is called Festive Birthday.  That is one thing (among many things) that is awesome about Stampin’ Up! products.  Everything coordinates with each other.

A Washi Butterfly

Washi Tape, Happy Birthday Everyone

I made this card for my friend, Sherry.  Yesterday she had a big birthday.  I mean BIG BIRTHDAY!  I won’t tell you how big but just know it was BIG!  The good thing is she is still very young at heart.

I thought this Happy Birthday stamp would be perfect for her BIG birthday since, well, it is a big stamp!  It is from a hostess set that is in the Annual Catalog called Happy Birthday, Everyone.  You can only buy this set if you either host a party that has $150 in sales or make a purchase of $150 or more.

I cut out the butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits.  Then I lightly traced around it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock so I could correctly place the Washi Tape.

I hope you had an awesome birthday, Sherry!

By The Tide Thank You

By The Tide

I needed a thank you card for a man.  We all know how hard that is.  There are only so many sets you can use.  You can’t have ribbon or bows.  You can’t have buttons or bling.  It has to be “manly” colors.  It is a tough thing to do.

I decided to get my an old stamp set (but still current) called By The Tide.  Actually, I hope this set never retires.  I was sad when By The Seashore retired but at least we still had this one.  Of course, if you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that I am always sad when stamp sets retire.  The Designer Series Paper I used for this card is from the Neutrals Color Collection and the sentiment is from the stamp set called One Big Meaning.  Everyone should own this set.  It thanks people seven different ways.  It is all you ever need for thank you cards.

I went to visit Madelyn last weekend.  I hadn’t seen her for a little over a month.  I was so surprised at how much she has grown!  The best part is she has the greatest smile.  Rob and I picked her up at day care and when she saw us she had the biggest smile on her face.  It was awesome!

You’ve Got This

You've Got This, Tin Of Cards

Today is my friend, Debby’s birthday.  This isn’t the card I sent her because I forgot to take a picture of it before sending it to her so I had to make another birthday card.  She gets to keep her card all to herself.

For this card I used a couple of new stamp sets from the Annual Catalog.  The flower is from You’ve Got This.  I stamped it first in Stazon and then used an Aqua Painter to watercolor it.  I used Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive.  The center is Daffodil Delight.  The sentiment is from Tin of Cards, my favorite sentiment stamp set at the moment.  It actually goes with a kit, but it is great to use by itself too.

Happy birthday, Debby.  I hope you have an awesome day!
