A Serene Christmas Card

Serene Silhouettes

Are you getting tired of Christmas Cards yet?  I have decided that I am not going to post any more of them after December 10th.  By then you should be pretty much sick of them, although I have tried not to post only Christmas cards these past couple of weeks.

This card was made using the stamp set called Serene Silhouettes.  All I did was use a Mellow Moss Marker to color the branches and a Real Red Marker to color the birds.  I embossed the outside of the card using the Filagree Frame Embossing Folder that is in the Holiday Catalog. I decided it needed something else so I added the three Candy Dots in Real Red.

A Christmas Card For Lou

Festival of Trees

A few years ago a bunch of us got together at my house to make our own Christmas cards together.  It was a great way to get it done and have fun at the same time.  Everyone brought some food and drinks to share.  My friend Lou was having a bad day.  She wasn’t feeling very well and she had a bad week at work.  Normally Lou is laughing and smiling and having a great time.  She was a little quiet and somber when she arrived.  Everyone took out their supplies to make their cards.  Most of the colors were green and red or blue and silver.  Then Lou takes out her colors.  She brought black and dark gray.  We knew it wasn’t going to be a good day for her.  I am not sure she even made a card that day at all.  We all still laugh about this.  So, in honor of Lou, I made this Smokey Slate and Basic Black Christmas card.  Of course I had to brighten it up a bit with the Real Red so it kind of ruins the moment but I was still thinking about her.Blog Signature-Fall

I made this card using a card sketch I found on Pinterest.  I probably should start saving these challenges so I could show you what the original sketch was.  In any case, it used Designer Series Paper on a diagonal which I thought was a cute idea.  I used the All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog.  I love the colors in this paper.  They are so soft yet wintery.

The stamp set I used is also from the Holiday Catalog.  It is a Photopolymer stamp set called Cheerful Tags.  It matches the Note Tag Punch which is also in the Holiday Catalog.  These will come in very handy with the Christmas Season coming up.  You can use this set to tag all your packages.  The snow flakes on the tag are from the Photopolymer stamp set called Holiday Home.

Festival Of Trees

Festival Of Trees

This is a quick and easy Christmas Card you can make using a Photopolymer Stamp set from the Holiday Catalog called Festival of Trees.  It has a matching punch which is always awesome!  It keeps getting better because you can buy both and save 15%.  I also used the 2 1/2″ and the 2″ Circle Punches to make this card.  The sentiment is from Cheerful Tags and the Designer Series Paper is called Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is a pack of 48 sheets of paper with 12 different designs.  If you don’t like one side, you can turn it over and use the other.  This Designer Series Paper is also in the Holiday Catalog.
