Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

One thing I love about the cardmaking world is everyone is so willing to share their ideas.  You can get so many ideas from Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, blogs and other online platforms.  Some people watermark their images and others do not.  If I can figure out who gave me the ideas, I always give them credit but if they don’t then there is no way to know.  It is called CASEing which means Copy And Share Everything.   I was watching a video on the technique I used on this card and then my internet went out so I lost who was doing this particular video.

In any case, the video showed different ways to add color to your embossing.   For my card, I took a piece of Blushing Bride ink and embossed it using one of the Wintry 3D embossing folders.  There are two to the pack and I used the snowflake one.  After I embossed it, I took a retired Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink pad and rubbed it lightly over the embossed areas.  It made all the snowflakes silver which added some sparkle to the card.   You could do this with any ink pad you have.  Just use a light touch so you only get ink on the raised sections.   I adhered a small piece of Silver Foil to one side and glued it to a Basic White card base.

Then, I stamped the mitten using the stamp set called Celebrate With Tags in Blushing Bride ink and cut it out using one of the coordinating dies from the Celebrations Tags.  This bundle is in the July – December Mini Catalog.  The stamp set is being carried over but for some unknown reason, the dies are not.  You still have a couple more weeks to order them before they sell out or get retired.  After cutting it out, I decided to add a little shimmer to the mitten so I used a Clear Wink Of Stella pen to add some sparkle.

Next, I made a bow using the Simply Elegant Trim in silver and attached that to my card using a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheets.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

It was a fairly simple card to make and did not take a lot of time but I love how it came out.  There is nothing better than a little sparkle added to your Holiday cards.

If you like the Celebrate With Tags bundle, be sure to order it soon because once it is gone or retired, it is gone for good.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

There is only one month left where you can order from the Stampin’ Up!® 2022 July – December Mini Catalog.  There are a few products that are carrying over into the 2023/2024 Annual Catalog that begins next May but not very many.  There is a bundle in the Mini Catalog called Celebrate With Tags.  This bundle consists of the stamp set by the same name and a coordinating die set called Celebration Tags.  Thankfully the stamp set is carrying over but the dies are not!  I am not sure why they are retiring the dies but they are definitely worth owning.  Not only do they cut out the stamped images, but they also cut out two tags, a snowflake, a heart, some stitched candles (which are very cute), and some more stitched shapes.  It is a fun bundle that you can use for a variety of occasions such as birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

To make this card, I first stamped the balloons in Petal Pink, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight ink.  Then I cut them out using the coordinating die.  I cut a circle and a banner out of the die set called Stylish Shapes in Basic White card stock and layered the balloons on the circle.  I love these dies because they have stitching around the outside and come in various shapes and sizes (squares, circles and banners).   I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on the banner.

Next, I cut another circle from the Stylish Shapes dies that is one size larger than the Basic White circle I cut earlier.  I cut a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper and layered that on a Basic White card base.

Remember, there are only a few more weeks that you can order products from the July – December Mini Catalog and before the Celebration Tags will be gone forever.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

Hello everyone.  It has been a very busy couple of months around here.  We have traveled a lot visiting our family but I think we are now home for a few weeks.  I guess now, there is no more putting off some chores that need to be done and maybe even finding some time to do some more crafting.  I did have a chance in between trips to organize my stamp room a bit.  I discovered I had three huge boxes of retired Designer Series Paper and card stock that I had stored away to use “sometime”.  Well, some of that paper is 8 -10 years old so I decided it was time to do something with it.  I called my granddaughter, Madelyn’s school and they were happy to take it.  I am glad it will go to good use.  Now I have some more room to get things organized!

I decided it was definitely time to start thinking about Christmas and making Christmas cards so I have been playing around a bit trying different stamp sets and designs.  I love the bundle in the June – July Mini Catalog called Celebrate With Tags so I decided to take it out and play a bit.  This bundle includes the stamp set called Celebrate With Tags and the Celebration Tags die set (you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle).  You can make these great tags for all your Christmas gifts easily, which is why I bought the bundle in the first place.  I love making my own tags but it is also great for making Christmas cards too.

To make this card I first cut out the tag and the snowflakes using the Celebration Tags die set in Shimmery White card stock.  I love how this card stock has a bit of sparkle to it  (perfect for snowy Christmas cards).  Then I embossed the tag using the Wintry 3D embossing folder.  I added a piece of Metallic Woven Ribbon in Starry Sky to the tag.   I adhered the tag and snowflakes to a piece of Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper.  I layered that on a piece of Basic White card stock and a Starry Sky card base.  Next, I stamped the mittens with Starry Sky ink and cut them out using the coordinating die.  I stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce and cut that out using the banner die.

Mystery Parts

Hello everyone.  Now that the crazy summer season is over, we have decided to start our Mystery Parts group again.  This is where one of us sends “parts” to each other to make a card.  These “parts” include card stock, Designer Series Paper and embellishments.  The idea is for each of us to use the “parts” we are sent to make a card and then share the cards with each other.  It is a lot of fun because each card is always so different from the others.  The only rule is you have to use ALL the “parts” you are sent but you can always add more.  To give credit, I got this idea from Diana Gibbs (who is an awesome Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator!

It was my turn to send the “parts” out this time.  This is what I sent:

Mystery Parts

I sent them a Basic White card base, a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Tahitian Tide and Basic White card stock, a piece of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper and some Matte Black Dots.  Here are the cards that were made:

Aren’t they all great?1?  I have such talented friends!

Here is the card I made as the basis for sending everyone the products.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

First I layered the Perfectly Penciled piece of Designer Series Paper onto a Basic White card base.  Then I used two of the Scalloped Contours dies to cut the scalloped shapes from the Tahitian Tide and Basic White card stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Celebrate With Tags in Memento Black ink. I stamped the balloons in Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide ink and cut them out using the coordinating  Celebration Tags Dies (you can save 10% by purchasing the stamp set and dies in a bundle).  Lastly, I added the two Matte Black Dots.

I love how each card came out so differently even though we used the same materials.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

Earlier this week I had the ladies over for another night of stamping.  I always have so much fun at these events.  It is just a great group of people who like each other and love to stamp together.  This time I decided to concentrate on some of the Stampin’ Up!®  die sets that do more than just cut out the coordinating stamp sets.

The first bundle we used is the Celebrate With Tags stamp set and the coordinating dies called Celebration Tags (and you can save 10% if you purchase them using the bundle item number).  I always try to make my own tags at Christmas time.  I think it adds something special to a gift.  Stampin’ Up!® Up!® always has a nice kit you can purchase for this but the problem with a kit is once you use all the pieces you can’t make anymore.  With the Celebrate With Tags bundle you can make tags year-round.  The stamp set offers sentiments for Christmas as well as birthdays and other occasions.  The die set offers two different shaped tags as well as accessories that you can use on the tags such as balloons, candles, snowflakes and hearts.  Plus it offers a rectangle and circle die you can use to make shaker tags.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

This is the first tag we made that you can use for Christmas presents.  To make this tag, I first cut it out using the smaller tag die and 2022-2024 Incolor Designer Series Paper in Sweet Sorbet.  I cut out two snowflakes in Gold Foil Paper and adhered them to the front of the tag.  I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.  I stamped the inside of the tag with the To: From: stamp.  Lastly, I added some Simply Elegant Trim ribbon in gold.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

The second tag we made was a shaker tag.

Stampin Up Celebrate With Tags

To make this tag I used the larger tag that comes with the Celebrations Tag die set with Design A DayDream Designer Series Paper.  After I cut the tag out using my Cut & Emboss Machine, I cut the window out of the front using the stitched rectangle die that comes in this set.  Then I adhered a 2″ x 3″ piece of Window Sheet to the inside using Tear & Tape on all four sides.  I sprinkled some sequins inside it, glued all the sides around the inside of the tag using Multipurpose Glue and closed it.

After I finished making the outside of the tag, I stamped the balloon in Daffodil Delight ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.  The word Celebrate is from a stamp that actually says “Let’s Celebrate You” but there is a large space in between each word so I was able to cut it out using the sentiment strip that comes with the dies.  I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss Ink.  Lastly, I added a piece of white Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.
