It is that time again for another Watercooler Challenge!  This time our inspiration is from Kath.  She gave us this photo to work with.

The colors are amazing in this photo.  The first thing I though of was our stamp set called Four Feathers.  I am so sad that this set is retiring.  It has a matching set of Framelits that is also retiring.  I am thinking about doing a write in campaign for Stampin’ Up! to bring this set back.  In any case, you can only buy it until June 2nd when it will be gone for good.  Here is my card:

Four Feathers

Feathers In Gold

Four Feathers, Bow Builder Punch

I had a hard time photographing this card because all of the gold on it.  The lights were reflecting off of it.  I finally had to deflect the lights but in doing so, it doesn’t show how bright and pretty this card really is.  The stamp set called Four Feathers was in the 2014 Holiday Catalog that ended in early January.  Fortunately, some of the merchandise from this catalog are carried over so you can still order them.  You can find these items on page 49 of the 2015 Occasions Catalog. I am not sure if they will be in the Annual Catalog that comes out in June so if you like it, you might want to order it before then.  The best part is it has matching Framelits called (appropriately) Feathers.

The little bow was made using the Bow Builder Punch that is in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  It makes the cutest little bow that fits perfectly on a card.

I cut about an inch off the right side of the front of the card and then put a piece of Gold Foil Paper.  The Happiest Birthday stamp is actually stamped on the back of the card.  It is hard to see in the picture.

Four Feathers Still Available

Four Feathers, Another Thank YouFour Feathers was one of my favorite stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog.  The good news is, that although the Holiday Catalog is no longer valid, some of the merchandise that was in this catalog is still available AND some are still available to purchase as a Bundle.  When you buy things in a Bundle you can save 15%.  The Four Feathers Stamp set and Feathers Framelits Dies are one of these sets.  If you look on page 49 of the 2015 Occasions Catalog  you will see everything that is still available for purchase from the 2014 Holiday Catalog.  Awesome!

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time! Earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase! Get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $300 workshop (or order)! Join my Stampin Up! family and get an extra $25 with your starter kit!

Four Feathers Birthday

Four Feathers

Actually, as you can see, this card only has two feathers but the stamp set I used is called Four Feathers.  It is in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and has a set of matching Framelits!  Any stamp set that has matching Framelits is on my list to buy.  Some people like to fussy cut but not me.  I fell in love with Framelits the first time I saw them.  I think the first stamp set that used them was called Apothecary Art (which is still available for purchase).  In any case, the Holiday Catalog goes away on January 5th so if you like anything in it, be sure to buy it before it is too late.

Four Feathers For You

Fine Feather, A Round Array

I thought the stamp set called Four Feathers would make a great masculine card.  This set also has matching Framelits called Feathers and you can save 15% by buying both in a bundle.  They are in the Holiday Catalog which ends January 5th.  I am not sure why they are in the Holiday catalog as you don’t usually use feathers for holidays but I am glad they are because I love them.

The “Four You” stamp is from the set called A Round Array.  It also has a matching punch called 7/8″ Scallop Circle.  The sentiment “celebrate” is from Endless Birthday Wishes.  This set is not in the catalog but you can still buy it.  There are a number of sets that aren’t in any catalog.  You can see them if you click on “Merchandise Not In The Catalog” at the top of this page.

Curvy Keepsake Box

Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits

I have to admit I held off buying this set of Thinlits called Curvy Keepsake Box from the Holiday Catalog for a while.  The problem is there is so much in this catalog that I love, I had a hard time deciding what to buy and what not to buy.  I held off on these Thinlits but eventually broke down after seeing so many cute things made with it.  The best part is that is really is easy to make one of these.  It is not fussy to put together at all.

To make the pumpkin, I cut out some Vellum using the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits Die.  I then sponged the inside of it with Pumpkin Pie Ink.  The lines are from the stamp set called Work of Art.  Then I just cut out the eyes and nose by hand and cut out the mouth using the Postage Stamp Punch.

The turkey feathers were cut out using the Feathers Framelits Dies that are also in the Holiday Catalog.

If you look online you can find all sorts of designs using the Curvy Keepsake Box.  I just want to warn you that as soon as you do, you will have to have it!

Four Feathers Birthday

Four Feathers, Hey You

This is the second card we made during our monthly Club meeting.  It uses the stamp set called Four Feathers that is in the Holiday Catalog.  This set has matching Framelits called Feathers Framelits Dies.  You can save 15% by purchasing both as a bundle!  The sentiment is from Hey You and is in the Annual Catalog.  It is one of those hidden stamps (it is hard to see on the page) that I found and use quite often.  There are three stamps in the set.  The other two say Thank You and Congrats.  Perfect for just about any occasion!  I also used Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine.

Watercooler Color Challenge

Four Feathers, Work Of Art, For All Things

The other day I was in my stamp room trying to design a new card and wanted to use some colors I haven’t used in a while.  I pulled out Night of Navy and was trying to figure out a couple of other colors to use when I got an email from the administrator of the group that does the Watercooler challenges.  The email said the next challenge was a color challenge using Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Silver.  Perfect!  I now had my my colors.

I didn’t have any silver cardstock so I decided to heat emboss the card using Silver Embossing Powder.  The middle feather from the stamp set called Four Feathers is embossed with silver as well and the chevrons from Work of Art.  The sentiment is from For All Things.

If you would like to see the other cards made with these colors you can go to the Watercooler Challenge Web site starting at 10:00AM.   There are some awesome creations there.
