Patterned Pumpkins

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so I thought it was appropriate to post a thank you card.  I am so thankful for so much in my life and consider myself very lucky.  I have an awesome husband, brilliant, kind and handsome children, fantastic daughter in law and daughter in law to be and the cutest most adorable grandchildren you could wish for.  I am so fortunate to have my 92 year old mother still going strong and two beautiful sisters that truly care for me and each other.  I have an awesome set of friends who are there for me whenever.  Last but not least, I am so thankful for Emma who keeps me company and keeps all my secrets safe.  Life in very good and I am so grateful.

I made this card using the stamp set Labels To Love.  The leaves (or flowers) are from a set of Thinlits that are in the 2017 Holiday Catalog called Patterned Pumpkins.  The Designer Series Paper is called Delightful Daisy.

Now, go tell your family and friends how much you appreciate and are grateful for them.

Marbled Pick A Pumpkin

This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  We have a few new members in our club so I decided I wanted to show them background stamps.  Background stamps have been around a long time but I often forget about them.  They are perfect for adding some interest and color to a card.  Stampin’ Up! has ten different background stamps.   In this case, we used the stamp called Marbled.  I love the swirls this stamp makes.  In this case I used Soft Sky for the background.  I originally used Lemon Lime Twist but I didn’t really like how it turned out.  I’ll let you decide.

The pumpkins are from the Pick A Pumpkin stamp set and its matching Framelits called Patterned Pumpkins.  You can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The sentiment is from Thankful Thoughts.

An Embossing Folder Stamp Off Challenge

Good morning!  I hope your Friday is going to be fabulous!  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This time our challenge was to use our favorite Embossing Folder.

As of today, my favorite Embossing Folder is the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I say “as of today” because my favorite stamp set, dies, color and embossing folders change on a weekly basis.  It is hard to pick a favorite when there are so many fantastic Stampin’ Up! products to choose from!

Of course it is Fall right now so my favorites colors are from the Regal Family.  I used Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango.  As of today my favorite stamp set is Merry Cafe and my favorite dies are Coffee Cups Framelits.  Why?  They are the newest in my collection and new is always fun.

Whenever I made a card I end up changing it, adding different things to it and taking things away.  As a result of this, I have a bunch of pre-cut shapes which is where I got the pumpkin and leaf from.  The pumpkin is from Pick A Pumpkin and it’s matching Thinlits called Patterned Pumpkins.  The leaf is from the stamp set Colorful Season with its matching Thinlits called Seasonal Layers.

Now let’s go see what Buffy’s and Jackie’s favorite Embossing Folder is.

Pick A Pumpkin

The stamp set called Pick A Pumpkin along with its matching dies called Patterned Pumpkin have to be one of the cutest pumpkin stamp sets and dies I have seen in a while.  Not only does it have four different shaped pumpkins, it also has a gourd, two sets of leaves and three pumpkin faces you can add if you wish.  The dies cut out each of the pumpkin and leaf shapes as well as a couple of background dies, two curly-qs and a couple of other shapes.  There are ten stamps in the set and fourteen dies.  If you purchase them in a Bundle you can save 10%.

To make this card I used the colors Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Old Olive for the leaves.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called All Things Thanks.
