My Christmas Card

This year I made two Christmas cards that were very similar but used different designs of Designer Series Paper.  Of course, this is because I would have had to purchase 4 or 5 packs of it in order to make all the cards I needed to make.

I used the Snowfall Thinlits that were available during the month of November to make both of these cards.  If you purchased them you know they make the most gorgeous snowflakes.

The top card uses the Best Route Designer Series Paper with Real Red cardstock and a Basic Black card base.  I put a Rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake.  This was the card I gave to my Club Members at our annual Christmas card share.

The second card uses Festive Farmhouse DSP.  This paper is also Gray Granite but has Cherry Cobbler in it instead of Real Red.  Gray Granite has definitely become my new favorite neutral.  It goes with just about everything.

The sentiment on both of the cards is from the stamp set called Star Of Light and is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.

I won’t be posting tomorrow since it is Christmas Day.  I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year.  Thank you for reading my blog, purchasing from me and supporting me in this crazy craft I love so much.

A Snow Is Glistening Wreath

Tomorrow is the last day you can purchase the Snowfall limited time only products.  This suite includes two stamp sets called Snow Is Glistening and Happiness Surrounds and a set of Dies called Snowfall Thinlits.  I must say this group of products is one of my favorites ever.  Who doesn’t love snowflakes and there are a ton of them in this suite.  Plus, it can be used at other times of the year because of the stamp set called Happiness Surrounds.

The colors I used in this card are Blueberry Bliss and Balmy Blue.  I used a stencil I made and my Stamparatus to stamp the larger snowflakes and then I just filled in with the smaller ones.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Santa’s Sleigh.  The original stamp has “Merry Christmas Wishes”.  I covered the word “wishes’ with tape, inked the stamp and then removed the tape so only the “Merry Christmas” stamped.  The banner is from Banners For You and then was cut out using the Bunch Of Banners Framelits.

Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day to order these products.  I’ve listed them in the links below.  Don’t miss out because they will be gone for good.

Here is another card using the limited time only stamp set called Snow Is Glistening and matching dies called Snowfall Thinlits.  Stampin’ Up! is offering these products, along with another stamp set called Happiness Surrounds until November 30th or when supplies run out (whichever comes first).

To make this card, I first stamped the snowy background using Pool Party Ink on Pool Party cardstock.   Then I cut out all the snowflakes with Whisper White Cardstock and adhered them.  I added a couple of drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint to a Stampin’ Spritzer, added alcohol to it and sprayed it over the snowflakes  You can’t really see the shimmer in the photograph but believe me, it sparkles!  Lastly I cut out the snowflake in Basic Gray cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink.

Remember, these are limited time only products.  There is only a week left to purchase this stamp set and dies so don’t miss out!

Snow Is Glistening

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  This month I did a theme of glimmer and sparkle cards so the next two cards you see from the meeting will have something shiny or glittery on it.

We used the limited time only stamp set called Snow Is Glistening and the matching dies called Snowfall Thinlits.  These products are gorgeous!  The snow flakes are the prettiest I have seen in any stamp or die set.  There is also another stamp set called Happiness Surrounds and some Snowflake Trinkets available.  Unfortunately, the White Velvet Paper has sold out.  Remember, all these products are available until November 30th or until they are gone (whichever comes first).

To make this card I put a couple of drops of Balmy Blue Ink into an aluminum pie pan (you can use anything) and then put a couple of drops of the Frost White Shimmer Paint. I mixed them up just a bit and then took a paint brush and painted it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  After it dried, I stamped the snowflake and sentiment with Night of Navy Ink.  I cut three snowflakes out of Silver Foil Paper and adhered them using the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.  If you have not tried these, you must!  They work great with detailed dies.

Don’r forget these products are only available while supplies last.  Don’t miss out!

Snow Is Glistening

This is another card made with the limited time products that Stampin’ Up!®  has during the month of November.  They are part of the Snowflake Showcase Suite.   This Suite consists of two stamp sets, a gorgeous set of dies, Velvet Paper and some snowflake embellishments.  You can only purchase these items during the month of November or until supplies last (whichever comes first).

To make this card, I cut out the snowflakes using the Snowfall Thinlits Dies in Gold Foil Sheets and Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Multipurpose Glue.  I found this to be the best way to adhere all of the Foil Paper or Glimmer Sheets.

I then embossed the sentiment from the stamp set called Snow Is Glistening using Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder.  I backed all of these things with Gold Foil Paper and attached them on to a Whisper White card base.

Here are all the products in the Suite.  They are truly gorgeous!

Remember, these products are only available during the month of November or while supplies last.  Hurry, before they are gone for good.

Happiness Surrounds

Stampin’ Up!® is offering a limited time bundle during the month of November called Snowflake Showcase.  It consists of two stamp sets called Happiness Surrounds and Snow Is Glistening, a set of dies called Snowfall Thinlits, White Velvet Paper and Snowfall Trinkets.  It is an awesome set of products that I knew I had to have the minute I saw it.  The snowflake dies are the most beautiful I have ever seen.  One stamp set is for the Christmas or winter season and the other can be used year round.

I used the Happiness Surrounds stamp set for this card to show you it is not just for winter.  The colors I used are Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather.  I first embossed a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist using the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  Then I punched out a circle of Flirty Flamingo using the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch and embossed that using the Subtle Embossing Folder to give it a little texture.  I stamped and cut out the rest of the pieces and layered a piece of Gold Metallic Thread behind it before adhering it to the circle using Dimensionals.  The Gold Metallic Thread added a little sparkle to the card.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Tropical Chic.

Remember these products are only available through the month of November or as supplies last.  Don’t miss out on these beautiful products.  I put all of them in the links below.
