Heart Happiness

Whenever I write a post for my blog I look up the name or the item number so I can put it at the bottom of the post in case anyone is interested in looking at it or buying it.  As I was doing this, I realized that the embossing folder I used is no longer available.  That is sad because it is a great embossing folder for Valentine’s Day and I decided to go ahead and post the card anyway.  Lots of people are looking for ideas that own this folder so I thought it would be ok to do.

I used some current product on this card too.  The heart is from a brand new stamp set that is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog called Heart Happiness.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then used my Stampin’ Blends to color it in.  The colors I used are listed below.  Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers so you need to use a water based ink such as the Memento Ink so it doesn’t smear when coloring.  After I was done I decided to add a little sparkle to the card and went over the flowers with my Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. I know it is hard to see in the picture but it added just a subtle amount of glitter to it.

The banner and the sentiment are from a stamp set called Bloomin’ Love.  I used a die from the Large Numbers dies to cut it out.

So In Love

So In Love, So Detailed, Valentine, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

Valentine’s Day is only a week away.  If you haven’t started yours yet, here is a simple and easy card to make.  I know I have said this before, but again, the best thing about Stampin’ Up! is all the products coordinate.  They have stamp sets with matching Thinlits or Framelits.  They have Designer Series Paper and cardstock that all coordinate.  They have embossing folders you can mix and match with.

In this case I used a bundle called So In Love.  It includes a stamp set by the same name and Thinlits called So Detailed.  Both the stamp set and the Thinlits are very lacy and elegant.  To make this card, I only had to cut our the lacy wrap and stamp on it in the middle.  Then I just ran a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock through my Big Shot using the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.  Then it was just a matter of putting it together.

Have you started your Valentine’s yet?  Better get a move on!

Sealed With Love Valentines

Sealed With Love, Love Notes, Stampin Up, Valentine, susanstamps.wordpress.com

This is the third and my favorite card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting last week.  It uses a brand new stamp set called Sealed With Love.  This set is in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  It has a matching set of Framelits called Love Notes and you can save 10% by purchasing them both in a bundle.  I love this set of Framelits.  It has 14 different dies with it and include two dies to make little envelopes.  There is also a die to make that awesome border of hearts.  To top it all off it has hearts (of course!), arrows, and a couple of little cards that fit into the envelopes.  Just think of all those cute Valentine cards you can make for your loved ones with this Bundle.

Another great thing about this card is if you buy the Bundle of stamps and dies, plus the Happy Heart Embossing Folder, you will earn FREE product from the Sale-a-bration catalog!

Another Valentine

Bloomin Love

Here is a quick and easy Valentine to make if you don’t have a lot of time.  Today is the 8th so you don’t have that many days left.  I know some of you are procrastinators so I thought I might post a couple of easy Valentines this week to make at the last minute.

I used some Designer Series Paper called Love Blossoms.  It is in the 2016 Occasions Catalog and comes in a 6″ x 6″ stack.  There are 48 sheets in the stack which is a ton of paper.  The stamp is from the stamp set called Bloomin Love.  It is also in the Occasions Catalog (it is even on the same page 17).  This set has the most beautiful heart stamp.  I didn’t use it on this card because I have already posted a bunch of cards with it.

A Super Sparkly Valentine

Bloomin Heart, Bloomin Love

The hard thing about taking photographs and not being a professional photographer is I can’t seem to get the perfect picture to show you the amazing sparkle on this card.  Both the heart and flowers are made out of Glimmer Paper (Blushing Bridge and Dazzling Diamonds).  If you could see it twinkle in the light, you might be blinded.  Maybe it is a good thing I can’t take great pictures!

The heart is cut out using the new Bloomin Heart Thinlits Die.  It is so beautiful and elegant.  It is a very intricate die but there are no more worries about having to poke out all those little pieces.  Stampin’ Up! is now offering the Big Shot Die Brush which pops out all those pieces for you.  I wish Stampin’ Up! sold that product back when they sold those beautiful, yet intricate doily dies.  They were gorgeous but not a lot of fun to pick out all those pieces!

Bloomin’ Heart

Bloomin Heart Thinlits, Bloomin Love

This is the second card we made at our monthly Stamp Club Meeting.  It used a set of new dies called Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits that are in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  There is also a stamp set called Bloomin’ Love and if you buy it in a bundle you can save 15%.

I think this die is so pretty.  In the past, it was hard to cut out dies like this.  It is not anymore!  Stampin’ Up! now sells the Precision Plate which works really well with intricate dies.  In addition this this, they sell the new Big Shot Die Brush which is awesome!  Here is a video showing how easy it is to get the little pieces out of intricate dies.

As you can also see, we used the Happy Heart Embossing Folder for the background.  The flower pieces are cut out of the new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper which is also in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  Lastly, the banner is cut out using the new Large Numbers Framelits Dies.

Valentine Groovy Love

Groovy Love, Happy Hearts Embossing Folder

This is the third card we made at our Club Meeting in January.  We had to make at least one Valentine since Valentines Day is coming soon.  If you want to send Valentine Day Cards you need to order soon.

This card uses the stamp set called Groovy Love.  This stamp set is actually in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Although I am a little young to remember the 60’s I still love this stamp set.  It matches the Sweetheart Punch.  Stampin’ Up! has had heart punches in the past, but this one is different and I love it.  It also goes with the Bitty Banners Framelits that are also in the Annual Catalog.  Lastly, we used a new Embossing Folder called Happy Heart.  This folder is in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.
