Make A Wish

Amazing Birthday

Here is another December birthday card I made for a friend.  It is as far from being a Christmas card as one can get!  Maybe one could argue that I did use a green (Mint Macaron) but it is not really a Christmas green so I still think I am safe.

For this card I used the stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  It is a stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock and the lower piece of Watermelon Wonder using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  Then I cut little strips of the other cardstock and put it in-between the embossed stripes.

Workshop Card

Lovely As A Tree, Tin Of Cards

This is a card that would be perfect for a workshop of brand new stampers.  It showcases so many of the awesome products that Stampin’ Up! offers.  The tree is from the stamp set called Lovely As A Tree and it comes in Wood Mount or Clear Mount so you can show the customers the high quality rubber stamps.  The sentiment is from Tin Of Cards and is a Photopolymer stamp so again you can show them how easy it is to line up the stamps.  The card uses two circle punches and an embossing folder called Stylish Stripes.  That way you can show them how the Big Shot works too!

Madelyn is five months old.  How did that happen so fast?  Isn’t she gorgeous?  The best part is she is coming to visit us this weekend and we get to babysit her while her parents go to a wedding!  I can’t wait.  I am going to take her cell phone shopping, to McDonalds and out for ice cream!  ( I am just kidding but as a grandmother I could if I wanted to!).

Crazy About You

Crazy About You

Crazy About You is a great stamp set because it has a ton of words included with it.  You can put the words together to make different sentences.  For example, it includes the word “you”.  You can put it together with “amaze me”, “just be”, “crazy about”, “so proud of”, etc.  There are actually 30 different words or sayings.  I can’t think of a sentiment you would ever need that would not be included with this set.

The flower I used matches the Flower Medallion Punch.  I stamped it three times and then punch the largest part of the flower out and then fussy cut the two inner parts.  Then I layered them using Dimensionals so it gave it a 3D look.  The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch.

Bravo Party Pennants

Bravo, Party Pennants

Graduations from college and high school are going to be happening in the very near future so it is not too early to start making cards.  This card uses the stamp set called Bravo.  It is a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I also used a Big Shot Die called Party Pennants on this card.  It is a Bigz die so you can cut out 3-4 of the shapes all at one time.  I love this Big Shot Die and I am really hoping it does not go on the retired list that comes out on April 21st.

I have been talking about the retirement list for a while now.   Sometimes merchandise runs out on the first day it is posted.  Don’t miss out on anything and order today before your choices are no longer available.  If you love those Retiring In Colors (Coastal Cabana is one of my favorite) you better order today.  In Colors are one of those things that sell out on the first day.

Ridiculously Amazing

Amazing Birthday

August is a full month of birthdays for me.  Besides my own birthday (yes, I think everyone should send me a card), there are about 10 more August birthdays of people I know.  Therefore, you will probably see a lot of birthday cards this month on my blog.

This card uses the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  I stamped the large stamp four times in order to get all the colors.  You could color the stamp with a marker, but I wanted to use Dimensionals to make the pieces pop up.  I used Sahara Sand, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Crisp Cantaloupe and then hand cut out each piece.  It really was not hard to do since they were all straight lines.

To all those amazing people who have August birthdays ~ Happy Birthday!!

Flamingo Lingo Club Card

Flamingo Lingo

This is the third card we made at our monthly club meeting last week.  It uses the new Stampin’ Up! Ronald McDonald stamp set called Flamingo Lingo.  Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House for every one of these stamp sets sold.  Not only do you get a very cute stamp set but you help out a worthy cause.

We used Strawberry Slush to make this card (of course ~ that is the color of Flamingos).  The background was made using an Embossing Folder called Stylish Stripes (one of my many favorites!).  The Baker’s Twine (in Strawberry Slush) is new this year.  It comes in all the 2014/2015 In Colors and is thicker than the normal Baker’s Twine.  The flower was punched out using the Petite Petals Punch and the sentiment was cut out using Bitty Banner Framelits.
