Happiness Blooms Memories & More

Although I am not a scrapbooker, I still use the Stampin’ Up!® Memories & More card packs to make cards.  I wanted to show my club members how quick and easy it is to use them and still make a cute card anyone would want to receive in the mail.  These are the two cards we made at our monthly club meeting.

Stampin’ Up!® has a set of these Memories & More card packs in the 2019 Occasions catalog called Happiness Blooms.  They coordinate with the stamp set called Bloom By Bloom, the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper. the Calypso Coral 3/7″ Satin Ribbon (which is gorgeous in person), the punches and the embellishments in this suite.  They also have a set of matching cards & envelopes you can purchase that are really nice.  They look like this:

The  cards & envelopes are White and Night Of Navy and come in two sizes.  The small note cards are 3″ x 4″ and the larger ones are 4″ x 6″.  There are ten of each size in the pack plus ten  envelopes to match.

The sentiments are from a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Part Of my Story.  You can get this stamp set for free with a qualifying order.  Other products we used to make this card are 1 1/2″ Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Everyday Label Punch, Bitty Blooms Punch Pack, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots and 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in Grapefruit Grove.

Dear Doily

Dear Doily is a stamp set that is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  It has a set of matching dies called Doily Builder Thinlits and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  I have to say that Stampin’ Up!® has done some doily dies in the past that were hard to cut out.  I almost decided not to get these because of that reason but went ahead anyway because I thought they were so pretty.  I am so glad I did.  I have no trouble cutting them out and they truly are beautiful and fun.  There are a few different dies that cut out various doilies and there is one large die that just cuts out the inside of the doily.  I love that Stampin’ Up!®  is making so many different dies.

To make this card I first cut out the doily in Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  I saved the middle the of cut to use it on the card.  I like how it leaves just a slight line around it.  I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I adhered that to a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock cut out using the 1 1/2″ Circle Punch.  Lastly I cut out a circle using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch in Lemon Lime Twist.  I layered each of these on top of each other using a Dimensional under the Gorgeous Grape circle to pop it up a bit.  The Designer Series Paper is called Gingham Gala and is also in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

If you purchase the Dear Doily stamp set and the matching Doily Builder Thinlits in a Bundle you will not only get 10% off but you will be eligible to get something free from the Sale-a-bration Catalog!  You can also get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 single or group order! Quick & Easy Cards Using Designer Series Paper

Good morning everyone.  I was going some craft room organizing and cleaning last weekend.  I started to go through my stash of Designer Series Paper and realized that I am a hoarder.  This paper is gorgeous and it just sits on the shelf.  Whenever I go to use it I think to myself that I better save it for classes and club meetings.  When I prep for events with a lot of people I like to be able to use all the same supplies.  Therefore, that poor paper just sits there.  Why is it so hard to cut into it?

Secondly, one of the most frequent excuses I hear about why someone doesn’t want to join as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, join a club or just begin stamping in general is lack of time.  “I don’t have time for crafts”  or “I am too busy” or “it takes too long to make a card that is nice enough to send to someone”.

I have decided to spend this week showing you cards using your Designer Series Paper and at the same time, be quick and easy to make.

Here is the first example of a quick and easy card that uses your Designer Series Paper (or in this card the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack).  All I had to do is adhere the paper to cardstock, stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and punch it out.  Then I punched the starburst out of Calypso Coral cardstock using the Starburst Punch and adhered it all to the card.  The whole card took less than five minutes to make.  The sentiment is from the Meant To Be stamp set which is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The colors I used on this card are Call Me Clover, Whisper White and Calypso Coral.

Stop back every day this week to see another quick and easy card that uses Designer Series Paper  Series Paper and takes less than five minutes to make.

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time! Earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase.  Get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 single or group order! Join my Stampin Up! family and get a $175 worth of products for $99  or get the Carry & Craft Tote and $175 worth of products for $129!

Bouquet Blooms

This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting in July.  It is a fun fold card.  The name of the fold is Gatefold.  Normally this fold is a little tricky but Stampin’ Up! has come out with a brilliant set of dies that make it easy to do.  The dies are called Gatefold Blossoms Framelits Dies.  They cut and put a score mark where it is needed so all you need to do is score, fold and decorate it.  Another fun thing is this set of dies has a matching stamp set called Bouquet Blooms and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle!

Here is a picture of the card opened up so you can see how it works:

The leaves and the flowers overlap each other to keep the card closed.  It is perfect to put a gift card or cash inside for a birthday, wedding or graduation.  It fits into a regular A2 envelope too!

The colors we used to make this card are Sea Foam Green, Balmy Blue, and Tranquil Tide.

Darling Label Punch Box

Stampin’ Up! has this adorable tin box that has a stamp set, punch, two Ink Cubes (Grapefruit Grove & Night Of Navy) and a thin clear block inside.  The box is gorgeous and it all looks like this:

This card was super easy to make.  I first stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink and then cut it out using the Darling Label Punch.  Then I punched out a piece of Basic Black cardstock using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.  Then I punched out  piece of Golf Foil cardstock using the Starburst Punch.  The black and gold Designer Series Paper is from Broadway Bound.  I just layered a strip of 1/4″ Basic Black cardstock over the top. I thought this would make a great masculine card or you could give it to someone with a big birthday!

Speaking of big birthdays, I don’t think I ever told you about what my lovely friends did on my 40th birthday.  We had this habit of making “memories” on each other’s birthdays.  I’ll tell you about that more later.

Rob and I decided to go to a local restaurant that night.  It was just a sandwich/burger place.  All of a sudden there seemed to be a commotion going on.  The customers and staff were all laughing and carrying on.  I looked up and saw a group of people, all dressed in black robes coming towards us.  They looked like a bunch of hooded Grim Reapers with scythes and staffs.   There was this one poor elderly woman who became very afraid and one of my friends had to tell her it was just a joke.  It was quite a site!  It even startled me at first until I figured out what was going on.  It is something I will never forget!

This card would have been perfect for that birthday!

Hello Friend

Hello everyone and welcome to another Stamp Off Challenge.  This week is a color challenge and I have to say, it did challenge me but I managed to pull it together.  Purple always throws me off.

Here is my card:

I used the stamp set called Hello Friend to make this card.  This set is in the Annual Catalog.  It is hard to tell from the picture but the background and the sentiment are stamped in Elegant Eggplant.  If you look really closely you can see a sneak peek that I used on this card from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  It is the ribbon and it is called Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon.

Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made with these colors.  I am sure their projects will be awesome!

A Colorful Birthday

If you know me at all, you know I love Big Bold Sentiments!  The 2017 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog has a bunch of stamp sets with Big Bold Sentiments in it.  It made me so happy when I saw them.  The thing that made me really smile was when I saw the Big Shot page in the catalog and it had this Big Bold Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.  It was the first thing on my list.  It must have made a lot of my customers happy too because almost all of them purchased this die.

What better way is there to show off a Big Bold Die then with a ton of color?  I took all my punches out and just started punching circles out of all different bright bold colors.  I used every punch between the sizes of 1/2″ to 2″ and just scattered the pieces around.  I used a piece of black and white Designer Series Paper from Pick A Pattern for the background to go with the Basic Black cardstock.  This was a really easy card to make that gives a pop of color.

A Copper Celebration

Confetti Celebration

This year Stampin’ Up! came out with some Copper Embossing Powder.  It is really hard to see it in this picture, but this Embossing Powder is gorgeous.  A few years ago I did an embossing powder comparison.  I took and embossing powder I purchased at the local craft store and compared it to Stampin’ Up! embossing powder.  There is quite a difference.  You can see this post HERE.  This Copper Embossing Powder is no exception.

The sentiments on this card are from the stamp set called Confetti Celebration.  The lines are from Mixed Borders.  I stamped the border twice and then embossed it.

Make A Wish

Amazing Birthday

Here is another December birthday card I made for a friend.  It is as far from being a Christmas card as one can get!  Maybe one could argue that I did use a green (Mint Macaron) but it is not really a Christmas green so I still think I am safe.

For this card I used the stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  It is a stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock and the lower piece of Watermelon Wonder using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  Then I cut little strips of the other cardstock and put it in-between the embossed stripes.

Workshop Card

Lovely As A Tree, Tin Of Cards

This is a card that would be perfect for a workshop of brand new stampers.  It showcases so many of the awesome products that Stampin’ Up! offers.  The tree is from the stamp set called Lovely As A Tree and it comes in Wood Mount or Clear Mount so you can show the customers the high quality rubber stamps.  The sentiment is from Tin Of Cards and is a Photopolymer stamp so again you can show them how easy it is to line up the stamps.  The card uses two circle punches and an embossing folder called Stylish Stripes.  That way you can show them how the Big Shot works too!

Madelyn is five months old.  How did that happen so fast?  Isn’t she gorgeous?  The best part is she is coming to visit us this weekend and we get to babysit her while her parents go to a wedding!  I can’t wait.  I am going to take her cell phone shopping, to McDonalds and out for ice cream!  ( I am just kidding but as a grandmother I could if I wanted to!).
