A Simple Card For A Friend

Flower Shop

One of the (many) great things about Stampin’ Up! is that everything coordinates.  The cardstock matches the ink which matches the markers which match the Designer Series Paper.  Designer Series Paper (also known as DSP for us lazy writers) is such an easy way to add color or texture to a card.  You just cut out the appropriate sized piece and attach it to the card.  Easy as pie!

I needed a quick card to send someone that needed a little TLC so I made this card for her.  It didn’t take very long, but when she got it, she was so appreciative.  Sometimes it’s the little stuff!

Thanks For Being You

Oh My Goodies

I’ll be the first to admit, I was not fond of the new In Color called Cucumber Crush when I first saw it.  All I could think of the John Deere green.  My second thought was it is the color of a rival school in this area.  Then I decided to give it a chance and after playing with it for a bit, I decided it was a great color after all.  It goes great with some of our colors such as Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.  How did I ever come up with these colors?  It was easy.  I bought the Designer Series Paper called Cherry On Top (I know.  I am not very original) and all of those colors are in this paper.  I especially love Cucumber Crush with Bermuda Bay.  I also think it will make a great Christmas green.  This taught me to not be so quick on making up my mind.

Of course, I didn’t have any trouble making up my mind when I first saw Madelyn.  I loved her the second I saw her.  Who couldn’t love such a face!!?
