You’re A Star

Pictogram Punches, Confetti Stars Border Punch

I made this simple graduation card for a friend of mine whose son graduated from Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago.  She told me he won a bunch of awards for all kinds of achievements!  It was a very impressive list so I thought I would make him a card to commemorate the occasion.  It didn’t take very long to make at all.  The sentiment is from Pictogram Punches and the stars were made using the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  I just backed the stars with different color cardstock to make it brighter.  Then I punched one star out using the star punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Madelyn is growing up way too fast.  She is already ten weeks old!

Happy Fourth Of July!

Triple Banner Punch

Today is America’s birthday!  I decided to make a flag card to commemorate the day.  Last year the big rage was to make a flag card using Work of Art.  That was an awesome set to use but this year I wanted to do something different.  Therefore, I made a shaker card. Shaker cards are always a lot of fun.

To make the stripes I used the new Banner Triple Punch.  The “normal” sizes for this punch are 1″, 1 1/2″ and 2″ banners but you can also make smaller sizes.  You just have to center the card stock in the middle of the punch.  It works really well.  The stars in the window were made using the Confetti Star Border Punch.

The sentiment is from Crazy About You.

I hope everyone has a happy 4th!

Celebrate Today!

Celebrate Today

This card uses a new stamp set from the 2105 Occasions Catalog.  It is called Celebrate Today and comes in Photopolymer.   The great thing about this set is it also has matching Framelits called Balloon Framelit Dies.  You can save 15% by purchasing the stamp set and the Framelits as a Bundle (Item # 138869)!  The set has 25 stamps included with it.  It can be used for birthdays (of course!), graduation and babies.  To see the set in full go to the bottom of this post.

I made this card as a shaker card using the Stampin’ Up! Shaker Frames and Window Sheets.  The little stars inside the shaker frame are from the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  It was a fun card to make!

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time!  For every $50 you spend, you can choose something FREE from the Sale-a-bration Catalog!!

Festival Of Trees Club Card

Festival of Trees, Merry Everything

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly club meeting.  It uses a Photopolymer Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog.  It is called Festival Of Trees.  This set has a matching punch called Tree Punch and you can save 15% by purchasing both in a bundle.  The other stamp set we used is also from the Holiday Catalog and is called Merry Everything.  This set also has a matching punch called Note Tag and once again, you can save 15% by purchasing both!  The stars down the center of the card uses a new border punch called Confetti Star.  I used one of the stars that were cut out by this punch for the star on top of the tree.

Happy Birthday, Darena!

Amazing Birthday

Tomorrow is my friend, Darena’s birthday!  Darena was smart a few years ago and moved from this crazy winter weather up here.  She now lives in Florida where she has beautiful weather all the time!  Lucky her!

I made this card using the stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  It is a fun set to use for birthdays.  It can be used as a whole banner (as I did) or can be cut up into pieces and used separately.  The little stars are a new border punch that is in the Holiday Catalog called Confetti Stars.  If you are one of those really annoying people, you can include all the tiny stars in the envelope so when the person opens the card, the little stars fall everywhere.  Ok, don’t do that.  I didn’t do it to Darena either.  The stars can be used for a shaker card.  That would be really fun and cute!

Happy birthday, Darena!  I hope you have a terrific day (tomorrow)!!

Stars, Stars and More Stars

Pictogram Punches

The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (starts August 28th!) is a dream come true if you love stars!  It has star stamps, a Confetti Stars Punch, and a Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  For this card, I used the Confetti Stars Punch and the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The stamp is from Pictogram Punches which also has some star stamps as well as the one I used.  It like star heaven!

If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, you can have one free if you come pick it up or just pay for the cost of postage and I will mail you one.
