Designer Series Paper Quick & Easy Cards Part V

This is the last card in my Quick & Easy card series where I show you how you can make beautiful cards quickly, using Designer Series Paper that are nice enough to send out to family and friends.  I think each card I have posted is a card I would be thrilled to receive in the mail.  Each one uses Designer Series Paper and takes less than five minutes to make.  If you would like to see the previous cards I have shown in this series you can click HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

This card uses the stamp set called Incredible Like You.  I actually got this stamp set free at OnStage last November.  OnStage is a convention put on by Stampin’ Up! for all their Demonstrators to attend.  It is so much fun and you get a lot of free merchandise when you go.  Now is the best time to join Stampin’ Up! because it is Sale-a-bration time.  You can join for $99 and get $175 worth of product of your choice.  Usually you get $125 worth so this is an amazing deal.

I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink and the little flowers in Pool Party.  The Designer Series Paper is called Tropical Escape.  It is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  I cut it randomly at an angle and adhered a small strip of Calypso Coral cardstock to the bottom of it and trimmed it to fit with my Paper Snips.  Lastly, I attached it to a Whisper White card base.

This is the end of my series showing you how to make quick and easy cards under five minutes and use that Designer Series Paper that is sitting on your shelf. I hope you enjoyed the series.  Now you have no excuses to stop from finding the time to make pretty cards and using all the DSP!

Quick & Easy Cards Part IV

Welcome back to fourth post in my Quick & Easy cards using Designer Series Paper series.  If you missed the first three posts you can see them HERE, HERE and HERE.  This series shows those of you who think you don’t have time to make nice cards, how to make them and be able to share them with family and friends plus they get you to use your stash of beautiful Designer Series Paper.

This card uses the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack as a background.  The Happiness Blooms also has Designer Series Paper called Happiness Blooms so you could use either.  I first stamped the word “Best” using Night Of Navy ink onto a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and then punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch. This stamp comes from the set called Well Said.  It has matching dies called Well Written Framelits.  They are both in the 2019 Occasions Catalog and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  Then I cut out the word “wishes” from this set of dies and adhered it to the Tag.  I wrapped a piece of 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in Call Me Clover around the Paper and placed the tag over it.  Lastly, I adhered it all to a piece of Call Me Clover and Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

Again, this card took less than five minutes to make and uses that Designer Series Paper that is sitting on your shelf!  You know I am talking to you!

Come back tomorrow to see the last card in my Quick & Easy card series.

Quick & Easy Cards Part III

This is the third card in my Quick & Easy card series using Designer Series Paper.  This series of posts shows you how to make cards that take less than five minutes and use Designer Series Paper.  I am a hoarder of this paper and I am sure there are a lot of you out there who are also hoarders.  If you missed the other two posts you can see the first one HERE and the second one HERE,

This card uses a sentiment from the stamp set called Floral Frames.  This set has three big sentiment with a nice, simple font.  I stamped “hello” in Lovely Lipstick ink and then cut it out using a die from Frosted Bouquet.  This set of dies was in the 2018 Holiday Catalog but is being carried over.  Then I cut another piece of cardstock in Lovely Lipstick using another die from this set to place behind the sentiment.  I tied a piece of 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon in Lovely Lipstick around a piece Designer Series Paper from the 2109 Occasions Catalog called All My Love.  This is absolutely gorgeous paper that is perfect for Valentine’s Day cards or everyday use.  Lastly, I just adhered everything to a Flirty Flamingo card base.

This card takes less than five minutes to make and is nice enough to send to someone special.

Come back tomorrow for the fourth card in my Quick & Easy card series using Designer Series Paper.

Quick & Easy Cards Using Designer Series Paper Part II

In case you missed yesterday’s post, I am spending the week showing you quick and easy cards to make using Designer Series Paper.  These cards are for people who tell me they are too busy to make nice cards and for those who hoard their Designer Series Paper.

Today’s card uses Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is great because it can be used for birthday cards for everyone.  I think this card could be a masculine card.  Again, it was under five minutes to make.  I adhered the piece of DSP to Basic Black Cardstock.  Then I cut out the “birthday” from the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.  I decided to cut off the “Happy” because it was quite large and took up a lot of the front of the card.  Instead, I stamped the word “happy” from the Well Said stamp set that is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  This stamp set has matching dies called Well Written Framelits Dies (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle).  I didn’t use these dies but they are awesome!

Again, this is a quick and easy card that is nice enough to share.

Come back tomorrow for another card in my series.

Quick & Easy Cards Using Designer Series Paper

Good morning everyone.  I was going some craft room organizing and cleaning last weekend.  I started to go through my stash of Designer Series Paper and realized that I am a hoarder.  This paper is gorgeous and it just sits on the shelf.  Whenever I go to use it I think to myself that I better save it for classes and club meetings.  When I prep for events with a lot of people I like to be able to use all the same supplies.  Therefore, that poor paper just sits there.  Why is it so hard to cut into it?

Secondly, one of the most frequent excuses I hear about why someone doesn’t want to join as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, join a club or just begin stamping in general is lack of time.  “I don’t have time for crafts”  or “I am too busy” or “it takes too long to make a card that is nice enough to send to someone”.

I have decided to spend this week showing you cards using your Designer Series Paper and at the same time, be quick and easy to make.

Here is the first example of a quick and easy card that uses your Designer Series Paper (or in this card the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack).  All I had to do is adhere the paper to cardstock, stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and punch it out.  Then I punched the starburst out of Calypso Coral cardstock using the Starburst Punch and adhered it all to the card.  The whole card took less than five minutes to make.  The sentiment is from the Meant To Be stamp set which is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The colors I used on this card are Call Me Clover, Whisper White and Calypso Coral.

Stop back every day this week to see another quick and easy card that uses Designer Series Paper  Series Paper and takes less than five minutes to make.
