2021 – 2023 Stampin’ Up!® InColors

Hello everyone.

This is my favorite time of year in the world of Stampin’ Up!®.  It is when the new Annual Catalog is on the horizon and Demonstrators can preorder some of the new products.  One of the fun things is we get to see the new InColors.  Of course, it is a sad time of year too because so many products are retiring but the new definitely outshines the retiring.

Here are the 2021-2023 InColors.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?  I can not wait to start using them.

Here is a card I made using the new colors.

Stampin Up Wreath Builder Dies

I started with the Wreath Builder Dies.  These dies coordinate with the stamp set called Arrange A Wreath.  These are both retiring but you can still buy them in a Bundle and save 10% until May 3rd.  I cut out the wreath once in Evening Evergreen and once in Soft Succulent.  Then I cut the flowers using Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.  The centers of the Polished Pink flowers are from the die set called Pierced Blooms.  Then I added another sneak peek by using the new 2021-2023 InColor Jewels that will be in the new Annual Catalog.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Best Year.

Below are also some comparisons of the new InColors to some of our present colors so you can see the differences.  The middle colors are the new ones.

I haven’t decided which one is my favorite because they are all beautiful!

An Inspiration Challenge

Hello everyone.  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  Jackie gave us an “inspiration challenge”.  She supplied this photograph to use as our inspiration.

I had to think about this one for a bit.  Did I want to use the snowman as inspiration or the Christmas tree?  I decided against both of those ideas and went with the season and the colors instead.  I see some reds, greens and browns so I went with Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Crumb Cake. Of course, it helped when I saw the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper had these colors in it!

Stampin Up Arrange A Wreath

As I said, I started with the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I cut out two wreaths from the Wreath Builder Dies using Garden Green cardstock and arrange them on top of the Designer Series Paper.  These dies are in the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  They have a coordinating stamp set called Arrange A Wreath and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.  Then I cut the little flowers out which are also part of the Wreath Dies in Cherry Cobbler cardstock and layered them on top of the wreath.  The flowers have a little hole in the middle so I added the Elegant Faceted Gems on them.

Now to the sentiment.  I wanted to use the Merry Christmas stamp that comes with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.  This set is in the 2020 Holiday Catalog.  I opened the stamp case to use and and the stamp was gone.  It has vanished.  I looked everywhere for this stamp and it was no where to be found.  The only thing I can think of is I left it at the cottage in New York.  Well, do you think I have another Merry Christmas stamp that is all on one line?  Nope.  Nothing.  Nada.  So, I resorted to use a stamp from a retired set called Four The Holidays.  Now my big decision is do I buy the stamp set again or live without it?

In any case, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then embossed it using White Embossing Powder on Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  Then I cut it out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I added a strip of Garden Green cardstock behind it to make it stand out a bit.

Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made.  Do you think they used the snowman or the tree?  Are they a rebel who did something totally different like me?  Let’s go check it out!

Arrange A Wreath

Stampin Up Arrange A Wreath

Arrange A Wreath is a new stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020/2021 Annual Catalog.  I love wreath so I knew I had to have this set as soon as it became available.  The great thing about it is it can be used year round.  The stamp set includes flowers for spring and summer, hearts for Valentine’s Day, Easter eggs for Easter and a partridge & pears for Christmas.  If you also purchased the Beautiful Autumn stamp set you can add leaves to it for Fall.

To make this card I first cut everything out using my new Stampin’ Up!® Cut & Emboss Machine.  This machine is awesome!  It cuts everything so smoothly and the first time so you don’t have to go back and forth 3 or 4 times.  If the die is very intricate you may have to go forward once and back once, but the little pieces just fall right out of the cut paper.  After I cut them all out I adhered them to the Pretty Peacock cardstock using Multipurpose Glue.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Beautiful Autumn.  I decided I wanted it white so I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool.

The last thing I did was add some Playing With Patterns Resin Dots to the middle of the flowers.

Arrange A Wreath

Stampin Up Arrange A Wreath

Arrange A Wreath with the coordinating Wreath Builder Dies are one of my favorite bundles in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  It was the first stamp set I ordered when it became available.  It has a wreath stamp and two wreath dies which are gorgeous plus it has other images that make this bundle usable the entire year.  Some of the images include a Partridge, pears (for Christmas), Easter eggs for Easter (of course) and flowers and leaves for spring and summer wreaths.  In the 2020 August – December Catalog there is a stamp set called Beautiful Autumn that has three matching punches.  You could use them for a beautiful Fall wreath.

For this card I decided to use Whisper White cardstock and then add a pop of color to it.  I also cut the wreath and the heart in Whisper White.  Then I cut the heart again in Purple Posy and just used the letters for the word “love”.  The word “you” is from the die set called Well Written.  The stamped the Daffodil Delight flowers and cut them out using the coordinating die and I cut the small flowers out of Purple Posy cardstock.  The little leaves are Soft Sea Foam.  The ribbon 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon in Daffodil Delight.  I decided at the last moment to add some Elegant Faceted Gems to the centers of the Purple Post flowers to add a little sparkle.  Who doesn’t like a little sparkle?

This is our last week at the lake house.  We are heading back to Nashville soon.  I am both sad and happy about this.  I love our lake house and one of my sons lives here so I will miss him and his family (that Olivia is just the cutest!).  On the other hand, I am excited to start our new adventure in Nashville, be closer to my two other sons and their families (can you say Madelyn, Nolan, Emory and soon to arrive Jackson!) and set up our new house (especially my stamp room!).  We really have the best of everything no matter where we are!  Rob and I are so thankful.

Arrange A Wreath

Hello everyone.  It is time again for another Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  Today’s challenge is to use your favorite (or one of your favorite) bundles in the new 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  I say one of your favorites because I have many!

First of all I have to say I am in love.  I am in love with the new InColor called Just Jade and I am not usually a green person.  It is a beautiful color and it works perfectly with Mint Macaron.  It is going to be my new Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana combination (which was my favorite until today).  They just compliment each other so well.  I also used another new InColor on this card called Bumblebee for the larger flowers and Highland Heather for the smaller ones.
I used a new Bundle from the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog to make this card.  The stamp set is called Arrange A Wreath and the matching dies are called Wreath Builder Dies.  I love wreaths so I knew it would definitely be on my first order list.  This set did not let me down.  It has two different wreaths in the die set along with other dies that go with the stamp set.

To make this card, I first cut out one layer of the wreath in Just Jade and the second layer in Mint Macaron and adhered them to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I like how the Very Vanilla cardstock softened the look of the card.  Then I cut the large and small flowers out and layered them on top.  I felt like the smaller flowers needed something so I added a 2020-2022 InColor Enamel Dot in Bumblebee.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Birthdays in Just Jade Ink and layered that on a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.  I was going to leave it that way but then I added the flower and leaves to the side.

Now, let’s go see which bundle Jackie and Buffy used.  I know I am going to fall in love with whatever they chose and make me want to buy it (if I haven’t already).  They are such enablers when it comes to this!

So far, what is your favorite Bundle in the new catalog?
