Beautiful World Mystery Parts Card

My Stampin’ Up!® team participated in another Mystery Parts challenge.   This is an idea that I borrowed from Diana Gibbs.  One person on the team sends miscellaneous card parts to the others and they have to come up with a card using all the parts they were sent and add anything they want to it.  We aren’t allowed to send stamped images so, of course, we all need to use our stamps as well as dies, etc.  This time the parts were sent to us by Karen.  She sent a Very Vanilla card base, two pieces of World Of Good Designer Series Paper,  and a piece of Color Velveteen Paper in Cinnamon Cider.

Here is the card I made:

Stampin Up Beautiful World

The World Of Good DSP is part of the World Of Good Suite in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020/2021 Annual Catalog.  Also included in this site is the stamp set called Beautiful World and The World Map Dies.  I had both the stamp set and coordinating dies so I decided to use them.  I love how Stampin’ Up!® coordinates all their products to make it easy to put things together.

I layered all the mystery parts Karen sent along with some Basic Black and Cinnamon Cider cardstock.   I cut out the globe using Gold Foil Paper and layered that onto a circle of Basic Black cardstock.  Both dies are part of The World Map Dies.  I stamped the sentiment using the stamp set called Beautiful Autumn (in the August-December Mini Catalog) in Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.  Then I cut it out using the Banners Pick A Punch which is also in the Mini Catalog.

Here are the other cards my team members made using these mystery parts.

Karen must have deleted her card because I can not find it on our FB Group page but if I do I will add it later.

Aren’t they so much fun?  It always amazes me how different each card is even though we used the same materials.

Beautiful World

World Of Good is a suite of products that are in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  This suite includes the stamp set called Beautiful World, World Map Dies (you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle), World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper,  Brass Foil Sheets, ribbon, an embossing folder and more.  I love it when Stampin’ Up!® puts products together.  It makes it so much easier than guessing what goes with what (especially for very unartistic people like me!).

Now that I actually am looking carefully at this card, I realized I did not use the Beautiful Word stamp set.  The entire card is die cut except for the sentiment which is from the stamp set called Well Said.  I thought it fit perfectly with the globes especially lately.  I don’t know about you but I miss my family and this would be a perfect card to let them know.

To make this card I first cut out the globes in the new Brass Foil Sheets.  The World of Good DSP has Brass in it so they match perfectly so I used that DSP as a background.  I cut the globe stands out of Seaside Spray cardstock as well as the sentiment using a new punch called Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.  This punch cuts out six different shapes for your sentiments and you can make them as short or as long as you want them to be.  It is a wonderful invention!

Beautiful World

World Of Good is a new suite that is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  This suite includes the Beautiful World stamp set, the matching dies called World Map (you can save 10% by purchasing the stamps and dies in a Bundle), Designer Series Paper, an Embossing Folder and some embellishments.  The Suite thing started a couple of years ago and I love it.  I used to have to guess what products would go with other products but now Stampin’ Up!® takes all the guess work out of that.  It makes it so much easier.

To make this card, I used the World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I cut out the circle using a Circle die (which is now retired).  The background DSP is from the other side of the circle paper.  I love how they have 2 different sides on each piece.  I stamped two the feathers from the Beautiful World stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and I embossed the third one using Copper Embossing Powder.  The specialty DSP is really brass but they don’t have brass Embossing Powder which is why I used copper.  I cut all three leaves out using the coordinating die.

The sentiment is from the new stamp set called Best Year.  I stamped it in Misty Moonlight ink and then punched it out using the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  This punch actually makes six different tags to use.  It has two sides to it and you can cut out 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ tags out on both sides.  Lastly I added the little copper swirl using one of the dies.

Beautiful World

Hello stampers.  Today’s Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me is a sketch challenge.  We were to pick our favorite sketch.  I don’t really have a favorite sketch so I just used an old stand by.  I love using sketches to make cards especially when I am stuck for an idea.  You can do an online search using Pinterest or Google and come up with millions of choices.  Sketches always give me motivation.  Next time you are stuck, try it.  Here is the sketch I used.

Here is my card:

To make this card I used a new suite in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog called World Of Good.  This suite includes the stamp set called Beautiful World and the matching dies called World Map Dies.  I love this bundle perhaps because it is very fitting during these stressful times.  The suite also has Specialty Designer Series Paper called World Of Good.  This paper has some beautiful designs with gold embossing on it.  The suite also includes an embossing folder, ribbon and embellishments.

The colors I used for this card are Misty Moonlight, a new InColor, Mossy Meadow and Whisper White.  The strip on the left side was made using one of the dies in this bundle.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made using their favorite sketch.  I am sure I am going to borrow those sketches in the near future.

PS:  Happy Birthday, Zachary!  I hope you have a terrific day.  You DO make the world a better place! Love you.
