Sitting Pretty

Sitting Pretty is a new stamp set that is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  It is a two step stamp set which means it take two or more stamps to make an image.  It is a fun set that has this dog, a squirrel, a bird, a plant and the table.  It also has some matching Framelits called Pretty Park.  This set of Framelits is fun because it not only cuts out the images in the stamp set, it also has a couple of extra pieces.  One is a park bench and the other embosses an image of cobblestones (to doesn’t cut).  If you buy both in a Bundle you can save 10%.

The sentiment is from the limited time only stamp set called Blended Seasons.  It is one of my favorite sentiments.  This stamp set and matching Framelits are only good during the month of August or until they run out.  The Framelits are awesome.  They have three large stitched labels that can be used in so many ways.  Order your set before they are gone for good!

The colors I used for this card are Gray Granite, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Night Of Navy.

My son, Sam started his new job today.  I’ve mentioned this before that after years and years of training, he finally got a real job.  Since Sam had to work today, Tara, his wife took Madelyn out for her first pedicure and manicure (Madelyn is 3 years old).  I was talking to Tara on the phone when she said “Maddie you have to stop wiggling so the woman can do it”.  Haha.  Here is a picture:

Don’t you just love the butterfly chair?  I want to sit in that next time I go!  That woman must have so much patience.  I would think it would be hard to do a pedicure and manicure on a 3 year old!

Blended Seasons

This is the second card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses the limited time Bundle called Color Your Season.  The stamp set is called Blended Seasons.  It is gorgeous!  It has flowers (Spring/Summer) and swirling leaves (Fall) and some holly and a Christmas bell (winter).  There are also six different sentiments.  My favorite is “I just miss you”.  Here is a picture of the stamp set up close:

The matching dies are called Stitched Seasons.  This set of dies is a must have.  They have three different stitched label shapes along with seven other dies.  Below is a picture of the dies.  I just love those labels!

To make this card we first stamped the flower stamp a a couple of times on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then we colored them to look like Magnolias using the new Watercolor Pencils and spread the ink around using a Blender Pen.  We cut out this using one of the stitched label dies as well as a larger one using Granny Apple Green cardstock.  The word Celebrate is from the set of dies called Celebrate You (in Basic Black).

The stamp set, dies and the Watercolor Pencils are only available until supplies last or August 31st (whichever comes first).  They say pencils “may” be in a later catalog but that has not been confirmed yet.  The stamp set and dies definitely will not be in any future catalog.  Hurry, before they run out!

Blended Seasons

The Color Your Season Bundle is available while supplies last or through the month of August only!  This Bundle includes a stamp set called Blended Seasons and a matching set of dies called Stitched Seasons.  You can also save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle!

Also available are a set of Watercolor Pencils in new colors.  These pencils may be available in a future catalog but right now I don’t know that for sure.

To make this card I first stamped the flowers on the left in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I only inked up one flower and stamped that on the right.  I colored the flowers using my Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.  I used the Light and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends for the leaves.  I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and cut it out using one of the dies from the Stitched Seasons Framelits and then used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut off the top and bottom.  I cut another piece out of Mint Macaron cardstock and layered them together.

I think it is time for some grandchildren pictures.  It has to be at least a month since I last posted some.  Ok, maybe it has only been a few days but it seems longer!

Emy Jade (I love her stickers!):

Happy Nolan (he saw Mom coming to pick him up.  He is always happy!):

Madelyn (she had some homework from school where she had to do an act of kindness.  They went to the popsicle store and bought the next person who came into the store one).  I love her school!

Hurry and get your stamp set, dies and Watercolor Pencils before they run out.  Remember these will only be available until August 31st or while supplies last.

Stamp Off Flower Challenge

Good morning everyone!  It is Friday which means it is time for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This week our challenge is flowers!

Of course, this is probably the easiest challenge because Stampin’ Up! has a ton of amazing flower stamp sets and dies.  It was hard to choose which one!

I decided to go with a new stamp set that is available beginning in August for a limited time only.  This means when it runs out it is gone for good.  Demonstrators were allowed to order it during the month of July.  This is another great reason to join my Stampin’ Up! family this month!  You can order $125 worth of products for $99 (including this suite) PLUS you get 10 FREE ink pads!  That is an amazing value.  Stampin’ Up! even offers free shipping on Starter Kits so including everything that is  $210 worth of products for $99 (plus tax).  (Sorry, I had to throw in that little commercial break but now back to my card and our challenge).

The product suite I used is called Color Your Season.  It includes the stamp set called Blended Seasons and the matching Stitched Season Framelits Dies.  I have to say, the dies are awesome!  You can even save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  Remember, you can only order them now if you are a Demonstrator.  Customers have to wait until August.

To make this card I first stamped the flowers twice using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I colored them using some not the new Stampin’ Blends colors.  I used the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Blends and the Dark Pineapple Punch Blend on the flowers.  Then I used the Light and Dark Call Me Clover Blends for the leaves.  The great news is all the Blends colors are now available.  This includes the brand new colors.

I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and just adhered it over the flowers.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made using flowers.  I am sure you will be wowed!
