Fresh Fruit

Fresh Fruit is one of those stamp sets that has been super popular with my customers.  It is such a fun set and has some great sentiments with it.  I think a lot of people purchased it because of the “Love You More” stamp.  It is perfect for parents or grandparents to send to their little ones.  Sadly, it will not be carried over into the new Annual Catalog.

I used the “Rock & Roll” technique to stamp the fruit and leaves.  This is where you ink up a stamp in one color and then lightly roll it around in a darker color so only the edges get inked with that color.  I stamped the pear in Pear Pizzazz (of course) and then Old Olive for the edges.  I stamped the peach in Peekaboo Peach (again, of course!) and then I rolled the edges on the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad.  The flower was first inked in So Saffron and then Delightful Dijon.  Lastly, the leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz first and then Garden Green.

The swoosh in the background came from a stamp in Perpetual Calendar and the sentiment is from So In Love.

First of all, Happy New Year to each of you.  I hope you have an amazing year full of happiness and lots of stamps!

The 2016 Holiday Catalog is coming to an end in the next couple of days.  It was an amazing catalog and once again, I think I bought most everything in it.  I really feel that Stampin’ Up! did an awesome job with this catalog and I hope you enjoyed it too.

I used a stamp set from the Annual Catalog called Fresh Fruit to make this card.  It seems like whenever a mini catalog comes out, I tend to forget about all the awesome stamps and products that are in the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set is no exception.  I love the simplicity of the fruit stamps and also love that it is a two step stamp set.

I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits that Stampin’ Up! released in the Fall but quickly ran out of.  I am hoping they come available very soon.  I believe we were told they would be back sometime in January.

Fresh Fruit Magic Card

Fresh Fruit, Stampin Up

We had fun making this Magic Card at our last stamp club meeting.  Magic cards have been around for a while but I have never made one before.  Buffy made one with her class a while ago and was kind enough to send me the card they made with awesome directions.  Then Stampin’ Up! came out with a video showing how to make one so I knew I had to show it to my ladies.  The magic part is when you lift up the tab and your black and white picture turns to color.  Here is what our card looked like when opened.

Fresh Fruit, Stampin Up

Isn’t that fun?!  Here is the video Stampin’ Up! made which shows you how to make one.  I did mine a little differently but it comes out the same so that is ok!

Fruity Notes

Fresh Fruit

I made these very simple note cards for my mom.  If you read my blog at all you will know a lot about her.  She is 91, still very healthy and lives alone in her house.  I send her (and my sisters) a lot of cards for her to use.  Sometimes she thinks they are too pretty to use and she saves them!  That is a very nice thought but I send them to her so she won’t have to go out and buy any.  She did sign up for a card class that meets once a month and she likes to show me the cards she makes. Let’s just say they are very interesting!

I used the stamp set called Fresh Fruit to make the cards.  They are also embossed with lines, although they are hard to see in the pictures.  You can see the lines a little better in the pictures below. I tried not to make they too pretty so she would use them!  😎

A Sketch Stamp Off Challenge

Stamp Off Logo Clean

This week our challenge is a Sketch Challenge made by Jackie.  Jackie is awesome at the sketch challenges so we let her do most of the designing of them.  Here is this week’s sketch:

Sketch1

Here is my card:

Painter's Palette, Flourish Thinlits

I used a lot of new products from the Stampin’ Up! 2016/2017 Annual Catalog.  The easel is from the stamp set called Painter’s Palette.  They don’t have a matching set of Thinlits for this set so I had to cut out the easel by hand.  I know.  That is not my favorite thing but it wasn’t too hard since all the lines are straight.  I think I must have flunked out cutting in Kindergarten because for some reason I have a hard time with that.

In any case, The ribbon going up the page and the flower are from the Flourish Dies set.   I love this set of dies.  They are just so pretty and elegant.  The Designer Series Paper is called By The Shore and matches the stamp set called Seaside Shore.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Fresh Fruit.  Last but not least, the enamel dots are in the color Sweet Sugarplum.

Now, let’s go over and see what Jackie and Buffy made.  I am sure we will be awed by their creations.  They are so creative!
