Gorgeous Leaves

Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves

I guess since it is the second half of November I should stop posting cards with beautiful Fall leaves but I can’t promise you I will.  I love the colors of Fall.  The reds, oranges and yellows are so vibrant and when the sun shines they just about glow.  When I lived in New York the colors were at peak in October.  Here, in Tennessee they are still just beautiful.

In any case, I made this card using the stamp set called Gorgeous Leaves.  I love this set because the leaves are so pretty and I love the splatters around each of them.  It has a coordinating set of dies called Intricate Leaves.  I did not use the dies on this card but you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.

I stamped the leaves in an overlapping circle using Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider, Poppy Parade, Just Jade, Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Freesia and Mango Melody ink.  That is a lot of colors, I know!  I stamped the sentiment on Basic Black card stock using the Biggest Wish stamp set in Versamark ink, added White embossing powder and melted it using my Heat Tool.  Then I cut it out using the Layering Circles Dies.

Lastly, I added some Elegant Faceted Dies, which are hard to see in the photo but they added a little bit of sparkle.

This is another card I made for our Stamp Off Colors Of Fall Challenge.  I actually made three cards for this challenge so you will see another one soon.  This time I decided to go with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle which includes the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Intricate Leaves die set (if you buy these in a bundle you can save 10%).

For the Colors Of Fall I went with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.  You can’t really get more Fall-like than that.  Actually you could also add all the colors in the Regals family because most of them are very Fall-like.

To make this card I first stamped the various leaves in Crushed Curry ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Cajun Craze ink to the edges.  I cut them out using the coordinating dies.  The stamp set Gorgeous Leaves also has a cute little stamp with the three leaves which I used to stamp a border on the edges of a piece of Basic White card stock and then Layered the cut leaves using Stampin’  Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Artistically Inked.

I’ll show you the third card I made soon.

Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves

Gorgeous Leaves are just that!  Gorgeous!  It is one of the new stamp sets that are in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021 July – August Mini Catalog.  It has a coordinating set of dies called Intricate Leaves which cut out the stamped leaves as well as some outline leaves.  The stamp set has leaves that are splattered as well as separate splatter stamps so you can add some fun background to your cards.

To make this card I first stamped the two leaves in Merry Merlot and Night Of Navy ink.  Then I cut out the Gold Foil Leaf.  I put some Merry Merlot splatters on a piece of Basic White card stock and layered the leaves on top.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Create With Friends in Night Of Navy ink and then stamped the word “you” in Versamark and heat embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder.
