Plentiful Plants

Stampin Up Plentiful Plants

Bloom Where You Are Planted is a Stampin’ Up!® Suite in the 2021/2022 Annual Catalog.   This suite includes the stamp set called Plentiful Plants, coordinating dies called Pretty Plants, Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper and Paper Lattice.  The stamp set has 15 Photopolymer stamps that include some plant pots, leaves and sentiments with a beautiful font.  There are fourteen dies in this suite that cut out the stamp images plus a few extra dies which include a couple of macrame plant holders and stands.  Plus, the stamp set is a DisINKtive set which means they stamp different opacities for depth.

To make this card I first stamped the leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent inks and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I also cut some of the leaves into singles so I could place them around making the plant bigger.  I stamped the pot in Crumb Cake ink and cut that out.  I layered a Paper Lattice onto a Merry Merlot card base  using Multipurpose Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Heartfelt Wishes (2021 July – December Mini Catalog) in Merry Merlot ink and cut that out using a die from the Seasonal Labels set.  Lastly, I tied a price of Linen Thread around the pot and adhered everything to the card base.

Last weekend we went to Alabama to take care of our grandchildren while their parents had a little time away.  Emy is now four going on 16.  She takes dance classes and did a lot of little recitals for us after which she ended with the typical, young girl pose.  It cracks me up how these little girls know how to pose for photographs.

Jackson just turned one which is one of my favorite ages.  He walks bow legged (as they all do) and laughs at the funniest things.  He loves pool noodles and when he picks one up it always makes him giggle.  Jackson was definitely attached to Rob this weekend.  They were big buddies the whole time.

I love living so close to my grands year round.  There is no better gig!

Christmas Season

Stampin Up Christmas Season

One of the things I love about the bundle called Christmas Season is it is a beautiful stamp set for Christmas cards but it is also a beautiful stamp set for other seasons too.  Christmas Season is part of the Painted Christmas Suite that is in the 2021 Jauly – December Mini Catalog.  This is a gigantic suite that includes two stamp sets, two die sets, Designer Series Paper, ribbons and an embellishment.  You can purchase the entire suite with one item number or you can purchase things separately.  If you buy one or both of the stamp sets with the coordinating dies, you can save 10%.

I decided I did not want to make a Christmas card with this bundle so I used non-traditional Christmas colors.  In this case I used Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake ink for the pinecones.  I did stamp off once when using the Crumb Cake ink to make it a bit lighter.  This means after I inked it up, I stamped it on a scrap piece of paper and then on my card stock. The pinecones are a two-step stamp  which means it takes two or more stamps to make one image.  After I stamped them both, I cut them out using the coordinating die. I used Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves and also stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping on my card stock.  This made all the colors a little more muted for a softer look.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Heartfelt Wished.  I stamped it in Crumb Cake ink.
