Jar Of Flowers

Stampin Up Jar Of Flowers

Here is another “older” stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021/2022 Annual Catalog.  It is called Jar Of Flowers and it has a coordinating punch called Jar.  It is a beautiful stamp set with four different flower arrangements as well as two different sized jars, flower stems and a couple of other stamps.  This stamp set is also a Reversible stamp set so you can stamp the jars and then turn the stamp over to stamp the inside of the jars a different color.

To make this card I first stamped the sunflowers in Memento Black ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  Then I stamped it again on a Post-It Note so I could make a mask of it.  I cut the stamped image on the Post-It Note out and then layered it on top of the first stamped image.  Then I stamped the jar on top of the mask.  That way it looks like the flowers are hanging over the jar.  Then I colored all the images using my Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party (for the water) and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Up!® Blends.

Next I cut out the piece of Basic White card stock that had the stamped images on top using a die from Nature’s Thoughts.  This made the little dot pattern around the edge.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Sweet As A Peach.

The brick background is from Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper.

Forever Fern Swap

This is a card I made for a swap I participated in with some of my downline and some customers.  I love swapping with them.  They are all so talented and their cards are always beautiful.  Swaps in the mail are so much fun.  Not only do you get beautiful cards but you get mail that you can look forward to (unlike bills and ads!).

I used a couple of Stampin’ Up!®  stamp sets to make this card.  I first stamped the jar which is from the stamp set called Jar Of Flowers in Smoky Slate Ink.  Then I took Seaside Spray Blends to color the water in the jar.  Then I stamped all the leaves using Shaded Spruce and Old Olive inks.  Then I did kind of a “no line coloring” technique for the flowers.  This is where you stamp an image very, very lightly and then color it with Stampin’  Write Markers in such a way that you can’t really see the outlines of the flowers.  I used a stamp from Flowering Blooms to do this.  I inked the stamp in Smoky Slate ink and then stamped off twice (this is where you stamp on a piece of scrap paper) before stamping the third time on my card.  I could barely see the outline of the stamp but I could see enough to color it with a Highland Heather and a Gorgeous Grape Marker.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Celebrate Sunflowers.

Jar Of Flowers

Flowers For Every Season is new Suite that is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  It includes two stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, dies, ribbon and embellishments.  I have already posted a card or two using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  The other stamp sets that is included in the Flowers For Every Season Suite is called Jar Of Flowers.  It has a matching punch called Jar Punch (appropriately named) and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  In my opinion, you can never have too many flower stamp sets!

To make this card I first stamped the flowers using Soft Suede Ink onto a 2.5″ x 3.25″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I colored the image using Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow and Night Of Navy Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped the jar image on Crumb Cake cardstock also using Soft Suede ink.  Then I stamped the edge of the flower image and cut that part off so it would look like the flower were hanging over the jar.  I am not sure it worked that well but honestly, the flowers were too hard for me to cut out and place on top of the jar.  I am the worst fussy cutter.

The Designer Series Paper I used is called In Good Taste.  I like this paper because it is great for backgrounds.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Many Mates.  It is also a new set in the Annual Catalog.
