Rob and I are finally pretty much settled into cottage life. We spent most of this week unpacking, putting things away and waiting for the sunsets to start. Unfortunately, most nights have been cloudy so there have not been beautiful sunsets but that is ok. I know there are many to come. In the meantime I was able to unpack my stamp supplies and make a couple of cards.
I made this card using a lot of new products in the 2023/2024 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It is always fun to use new products and figure out how each of them work. Sometimes the dies can be a little complicated but in this case everything was pretty easy.
I first ran a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic White card stock through my Cut & Emboss Machine using the Painted Textures 3D embossing folder. I layered that on a Fresh Freesia card base. Next, I used a new set of dies called Paper Florist Dies and cut out a bunch of the shapes using a lot of different colors. You can see the color I used below this post. Each of the flowers take a couple of different dies and you can mix and match them if you want to. I put all the flowers together using Multipurpose Glue. I only put the glue in the center of each layer so I could curl the edges uses my bone folder.
Next, I used a new stamp set from the Annual Catalog called Layering Leaves. This stamp set coordinated with the Bough Punch. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder and my Heat Tool. Then I cut it out using another new die set called Nested Essentials Dies. Lastly, I added an extra die cut to the corner of the sentiment.
