Once again, I apologize for this post. My computer is in the shop so I had to use my phone and it doesn’t quite work as well so things may not be lined up correctly or the colors may be off. I figured something posted crazy like is better than no post (maybe).
I made this card using the stamp set called Merriest Moments. This set is in the 2021 July – December MIni Catalog. It has a coordinating die set and embossing folder called Merriest Frames (although I did not use them for this card) and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.
The colors I used are Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry. To make this card, I first drew a circle using a pencil which made it easier to lines things up where I wanted them. Then I stamped the flowers and leaves over that circle. When I was done, I erased it so you can’t see it. Next I stamped the sentiment in Soft Succulent ink. I felt like it needed something more so I randomly stamped some splatters in Rich Razzleberry ink. Lastly I added some Elegant Faceted Gems in various places.
Thanks for being so patient while I wait for my laptop to be fixed. It is a fairly new one and the battery was only lasting one to two hours before needing charging and it was running very hot. Of course, they had to send it in for repairs because they could not fix it in the store. Such is life.
TGIF! It is our Stamp Off Challenge Day. This time we decided to share our personal Christmas Cards. I know it is not really a challenge but it is still fun to see what each of us made.
I actually made two Christmas Cards this year. I usually make a bunch of the same but decided after making 20 of one card, I wanted to do something different. There were so many wonderful Christmas stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog that I had a hard time choosing. The first card I made used the stamp set called Star Of Light. This set has matching Thinlits called Starlight. I think this set is so elegant.
The second card I made was more cute than elegant. I used the stamp set called Santa’s Sleigh and the matching Thinlits (also called Santa’s Sleigh). The sentiment is from Merriest Wishes and the Designer Series Paper is called This Christmas.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made for their Christmas cards.
This is the third and last project we did at our monthly stamp club meeting. We used the Merry Tags Framelits with the matching stamp set called Merriest Wishes. This bundle (which you can save 10% by purchasing both) makes it so easy to make tags for those Christmas presents. Most of the work is done for you. All you need to do is run a couple of dies through the Big Shot. The back of the tags are stamped with To: and From: and then all we did was add some Baker’s Twine and a gold Metallic Enamel start. Presto! You have tags. I am all about easy during the holiday season. We are all so busy that I welcome anything that doesn’t take a lot of time but still adds a little homemade touch.
This is another one of the cards we made at our monthly Stampin’ Club meeting. It is a fun fold card called Diagonal Gate Fold. Here is what it looks like when you open it.
It is really easy to make and is a Fun surprise when you open it. I saw the original card like this on Pinterest which lead me to Dawn Griffith’s web site for directions. You can see them here.
We used the stamp set called Merriest Wishes to make this card. It is a stamp set in the Holiday Catalog that has a set of matching Framelit Dies called Merry Tags. You can save 10% by purchasing them both in a Bundle. This set is so cute and makes great tags for all your holiday presents. The Designer Series Paper is called This Christmas Specialty and is actually in the Annual Catalog. There are six different double sided designs and you get four of each.
