Simple Wreath Card

I made this card using the leaves from the Bird Builder Punch. I think that leaf is my favorite part about that punch. It makes a whole branch of little leaves that can be used a lot. Of course, I used it to make the actual wreath. The little flowers came from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. There is a set of three punches in this pack. Unfortunately, it is retiring at the end of this catalog (or until it sells out, whichever comes first) so if you like it, you should order it before it disappears forever. The sentiment I used is also part of a stamp set that is retiring called Sweet Essentials. There are 8 great greetings in this stamp set, so again, if you like it you should order it before it sells out.

For my card I used two stamp sets. The first one is Aviary which has cute little birds and bird cages in it. I used Summer Silhouettes to make the leaves and flowers for the bird cage to hang off of.

One of the things you may notice is that I used Tangerine Tango brads. Stampin Up! doesn’t sell this color brad. What I did was take a different color Stampin Up! brad, dip it in Versamark Ink and then dip it in Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder. Then I used my Stampin Up! Heat Tool to melt the powder so now I had Tangerine Tango brads! Very easy!

Dress Up Framelits

Here is another card we made at our Club meeting this week. It uses the Dress Up Framelits from the Occasions catalog. I really love these framelits! When you use it with Designer Series Paper (I used Sycamore Street which you can get free until March 22nd with a $50 order!) it looks like an old fashion dress. I used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder for the background. The flower on the dress was made with a flower from the Vanilla 5/8″ Flower Trim. All I did was press the flower into an ink pad (Island Indigo) and few times to change the color. Very easy!
