Saying Goodbye To Tea Shoppe

Tea Shoppe

Tea Shoppe

This time of year is so exciting because the new catalog will be coming out but at the same time, it is sad because some of my favorite stamp sets are retiring.  Tea Shoppe is one of the retiring sets that I will miss.  I just love those little tea cups.  Other products this card uses are the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die, the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder and Jewels Basic Pearls.  Dont’ forget to order Tea Shoppe before it retires at the end of May!

Freshly Made Sketches & New (Old) Colors

Here is the challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #83:

FMS+Final+83-001As you all know, Stampin Up!  is doing a Color Refresh this year.  They are bringing back some In Colors that had retired and adding them to their regular color list.  Two of these colors are Blushing Bride and Pear PIzzazz.  I decided to make a card using these two returning colors.  The colors will be available for purchase on May 31st.

The Designer Series Paper is called Twitterpated (which will be retiring this year) and the stamp set is one of the sets that is also retiring called Tea Shoppe.  I will miss this set because I think the tea cups are so cute piled on top of each other.  If you like this set, it will be available until May 31st!

Tea Shoppe is one of those stamp sets that I wasn’t sure what to do with because it was more vintage than I usually do but I ended up making a lot of cards with it and loving it.

This card is a very simple card to make.  The embossed crosses were made using one of the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders.  I think it adds a nice touch to a simple card.

March 2012 Club Projects

Last night was the March meeting for our Sackets Club.  I showed the group the new Stampin Up Diagonal Plate that fits right over our Simply Scored Score Board.  They saw how easy it is to make an envelope using this plate.  It takes less than a minute to make one!  Now you can have matching envelopes with all your cards!

Here are pictures of the cards we made .  The first card uses the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Blossom Punch from the Occasions Mini and Elementary Elegance stamp set from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.  We used Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Tempting Turquoise Card stock and then topped it off with a Tempting Turquoise Button which is also free in the SAB Catalog!

The next card using Fresh Vintage stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog as well as Everyday Enchantment DSP.  The colors we used were Very Vanilla and Poppy Parade.

The last card we made uses the Tea Shoppe stamp set from the Occasions Mini and the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.  The card stock colors are Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla and we finished it off the Pear Pizzaz Pleated Ribbon.
