A Spring Wreath

Wondrous Wreath, Hearth & Home Thinlits, Thoughtful Banners

Now that Spring has finally arrived in Northern New York, I feel like I can post pretty spring flowers and nice subtle colors to match the season.

This card uses some old and some new merchandise from the catalog.  The old, of course, is the wreath made with the stamp set called Wondrous Wreath.  This set has some matching Framelits to cut out the wreath and the flowers. The window is from Hearth and Home Thinlits.  These Thinlits have also been around for a little while and I am so glad they stayed.

The new is the sentiment and matching banner I used.  The banner is a punch called Duet Banners. The stamp set is called Thoughtful Banners and you can save 10% by buying both in a Bundle.  The nice things about this stamp set is it is a Photopolymer Set.  That means it is flexible so I was able to bend the stamp set to match the arch of the banner.  You can’t do that with rubber!

My 2014 Christmas Card

Wondrous Wreath

This year I used the Stampin’ Up Stamp Set called Wondrous Wreath for my Christmas Card.  This was my favorite set from the Holiday Catalog.  I love it because you can use it any time of year by just changing the colors.  You can make a spring or summer wreath by adding flowers on it and a fall wreath by stamping it in fall colors (Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, etc).  It is a 3 step stamp set which means it has three different stamps that you layer on top of each other.  I used Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon and the Encore Silver Ink Pad.   One of the best things about it is it also has a set of matching Framelits called Wonderful Wreath so no tedious cutting.  If you look closely, I stamped Lovely As A Tree behind the window.  The sentiment is from Holiday Home.

A Wondrous Wreath Thank You

Wonderous Wreath

The Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Wondrous Wreath does not have to be used only for Christmas.  This card can be used for Thanksgiving or just a Fall thank you card.

I made this card using a variety of different products.  The sentiment is from For All Things and is also in the Holiday Catalog.  I cut the leaves out using a Bigz Die called Autumn Accents.  You can cut out  four leaves and an acorn with this die.  I also used two different embossing folders.  One is Perfect Polka Dots for the leaves and the background is called Argyle.  I finished it off with a Designer Button from the Neutrals Collection and piece of Linen Thread.

Wonderous Wreath

Wonderous Wreath

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly club meeting.  The stamp set is called Wondrous Wreath.  It has matching Framelits which are always great to have.  No fussy cutting (as they like to say).  Normally you would use this stamp for Christmas but all I did was change the colors and now it becomes a Fall wreath.  I also love the new Embossing Folder called Filigree Framed Textured Impression.  All of these items are in the 2014 Holiday Catalog.

There is a trick to using this stamp and the Framelits.  Here is a great video that Stampin’ Up! made explaining how to line them up.  Once you watch this, it becomes really easy to do!
