Tropical Chic Thank You

Tropical Chic is such a fun stamp set. Whenever I see any cards made with it (and there are a lot because it is very popular) they always look for happy and bright. It is probably because anything tropical is fun (think turquoise water, white sandy beaches and a pina colada!). The other fun thing is this stamp set has matching Thinlits and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

Speaking of Thinlits, you should take a look at this set. They have dies to cut out the leaves but they also cut out the centers of the leaves. Plus they have a square die that cuts out a frame of leaves. Lastly, some of the dies cut out some of the images from the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper. I love that!

The colors I used to make this card are Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist and Pineapple Punch. The large Thank You piece is cut from the Thank You Thinlits Die. The sentiment is from All Things Thanks.

Pick A Pumpkin

The stamp set called Pick A Pumpkin along with its matching dies called Patterned Pumpkin have to be one of the cutest pumpkin stamp sets and dies I have seen in a while. Not only does it have four different shaped pumpkins, it also has a gourd, two sets of leaves and three pumpkin faces you can add if you wish. The dies cut out each of the pumpkin and leaf shapes as well as a couple of background dies, two curly-qs and a couple of other shapes. There are ten stamps in the set and fourteen dies. If you purchase them in a Bundle you can save 10%.

To make this card I used the colors Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Old Olive for the leaves. The sentiment is from the stamp set called All Things Thanks.

Swirly Scribbles

You probably have noticed by now that I really like the Lemon Lime Twist In Color with Flirty Flamingo. I think I have made 4 or 5 cards using this color combination. It just such a bright and happy combination. It is perfect for summertime. Of course, here, summer hasn’t started yet and probably won’t until July! Let’s hope it is not one of those summers.

I used the set of Thinlits called Swirly Scribbles to make the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from the stamp set called All Things Thanks. It is a great set for making thank you cards because it has nine different stamps that say thank you in all different ways and sizes. By the way, in case you noticed, yes, I have been making a lot of thank you cards lately. I went to send one a couple of weeks ago and I had nothing made! I have about 30 birthday cards ready but not a single thank you. Sad.

One of my favorite things about Stampin’ Up! is that everything matches so it is so easy to put things together. If you can’t figure out what colors go with what you can always use Designer Series Paper to help you. In this case, I used Blooms $ Bliss Designer Series Paper. This particular sheet uses Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron. All I needed to do was figure out what stamp set I should use (All Things Thanks) and a sketch layout. Stampin’ Up! did all the work for me.

So Detailed Thinlits Dies

So Detailed Thinlits Dies are in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. They are a set of three dies. Two of them are belly band dies which means you wrap them around cardstock and tuck each end underneath. You can make them slide off if you don’t attach them directly on the card stock.

In this case, I decided to cut off the ends that normally wrap around and just place a piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock underneath it. I took one of the hearts that get cut out when using this die and glued it next to the sentiment. The Designer Series Paper is called Floral Boutique. Each piece is Whisper White and Night of Navy. It is very elegant. The sentiment is from All Things Thanks.

I was looking through my camera yesterday and found this picture of Madelyn on Christmas Day. She makes me so happy. Can you tell?

Project Life With A Sneak Peek

Here is a quick and easy thank you card for the bride and groom to use after their wedding day. It uses the Hello Lovely Project Life Card Collection. I love these card collections even though I don’t scrapbook. They are great to use when you need you don’t have a lot of time.

The sentiment is a sneak peek of a stamp set that will be in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. It is called All Things Thanks. It is a stamp set that has nine thank you stamps with different themes. Obviously the one I use is for a wedding. There is also one for thanking people for a baby gift, for joining us and one for “everything”. It is a great set when you need to say thank you for something specific.
