Piece Of Cake

This is another card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting during April.  I love this card because it is so bright and cheery.  We used the stamp set called Piece Of Cake.  This stamp set has a matching punch called Cake Builder and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The sentiment came from another stamp set called Amazing Life.  The Designer Series Paper is called How Sweet It Is.  All of these products are in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

To make this card I first stamped the cake in Memento Black Ink and then colored it with my Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and Bermuda Bay Stampin’  Blends.  Then I punched out the cake and the stand (in Pineapple Punch cardstock) using the Cake Builder Punch.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink and colored the word cake using my Pineapple Punch Blends.  Lastly I added the sequin from the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.

I told you I had been traveling a lot during the month of April.  The first weekend I flew down to Montgomery Alabama to visit my son, Zachary and his daughter Emory (Emy).  Mary, his wife, was away so I had the job of watching Emy while Zachary was at work.  It was a tough job but someone had to do it and it was awesome!  We had such a good time.  The last time I saw her was at Christmas.  It amazes me how much she has grown in a few months.  She went from saying one or two words at a time to speaking full sentences.  Of course, she is two so most of her sentences start with the word no!

Here are some pictures.

Isn’t she just adorable?  (I know.  I am a little prejudice!!)!!

Amazing Life

I have to say, I do have an amazing life!  I just got back from seeing all my grandchildren and getting to spend the weekend with them.  I also got to see two out of three of my boys and their wives.  Emory is turning two today so we all met last weekend to celebrate her birthday.  I can not believe how quickly these past two years have gone. It was amazing and I will share pictures with you later this week.

I made this card using the stamp set called Amazing Life which is in the 2019 Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog. This stamp set is paired with the Rectangle Stitched Dies (which is my favorite thing in the whole catalog!).  You can save 10% if you buy them in a Bundle.  I use the Rectangle Stitched dies all the time (as I am sure you can tell).

This is a quick and easy card to make.  I first stamped the sentiment and the cake in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Then I cut them out using one of the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  Then I colored them with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I ran a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock using the Tin Tile Embossing Folder through the Big Shot.  Then I added one of the sequins from the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Happy Birthday, Emy!  You are as sweet as can be no matter what your parents try to tell me!

Amazing Life

Amazing Life is a stamp set that is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  I actually received it for free when I attended OnStage last November.  Only Demonstrators can attend OnStage.  If you are interested in finding out more about this, just send me an email.  I would be happy to explain it to you.

In any case, Amazing Life is bundled in the catalog with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I have mentioned before (many times) that the dies are my favorite product in this catalog.  If you buy anything, you have to buy these.  If you buy the stamp set and the dies in a bundle you can save 10%!

To make this card I first stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  Then I colored the word “happy” with my Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. I colored the top of the letters in the Light Mint Macaron Blend and the bottom of each letter using the Dark Blend.  Then I stamped the image again onto Balmy Blue cardstock and cut out the banner and layered it on top of the first image using Mini Dimensionals.

After this I stamped three sets of flowers and colored them using the Mint Macaron and the Balmy Blue Blends and cut them out by hand.  I took a piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and cut out the frame using two of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  If you look closely in the picture you can see the stitching on the inside and outside of the frame.

The best thing of all?  You can earn a free item from the Sale-a-bration Catalog if you buy the Amazing Life stamp set and the Rectangle Stitched Framelits in a Bundle!

OnStage Sneak Peeks

Here are couple of cards we made at OnStage in November.  They use new stamp sets that will be in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The first uses a new stamp set called Bloom By Bloom.  It is part of a Suite that is called Happiness Blooms.  The colors in this Suite are bright and beautiful.  The Suite includes this stamp set, matching Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (which you can save 10% by purchasing in a Bundle), Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper, ribbon, embellishments, a Memories and More Card Pack and an Embossing Folder.  If you love bright colors like I do, you will love this suite.  The colors in the Suite are Call Me Clover, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Night Of Navy and Pineapple Punch.

This card was made using the stamp set called Amazing Life.  This is one of the stamp sets I got for free at OnStage.   It is a great all around set that can be used for many occasions.

To make this card, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment multiple times using Crumb Cake Ink on a Whisper White Narrow Note Card.  These cards are 2 1/2″ by 4 1/2″ and come with matching envelopes. I also stamped the cake and candle in Crumb Cake and then colored it with my Stampin’ Up!® Blends in Petal Pink, Call Me Clover and Daffodil Delight.  Then I cut out the image using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the scalloped piece in Blackberry Bliss using the Layering Circle Framelits.

Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators will be able to pre-order items from this Catalog in early December.  That is one of the best perks of becoming a Demo (other than a great discount on all products).  If you are interested in becoming a Demo, you can click on the “Join Now” button to the right of this post or you can contact me with any questions you might have.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs, just let me know.  They should be available for pickup in mid December.
