I hope everyone had a great Easter. Rob and I got to spend it with one family of grands. You know anytime I can spend some time with them, is the best time ever. My achilles tendon is slowly starting to heal. I still can not walk on it but when I went to physical therapy on Monday they said they are going to start letting me put as much pressure as I can on it next week. Thank you for all the cards and good wishes. Each one was truly appreciated.

I did manage to get some time in to stamp last week. My stamp room is upstairs so it has been hard to get myself up there. Rob has been a blessing and so patient with me. He has learned to do a lot of things around the house. He is getting so good at some things I am thinking about letting him do them forever.

I used the stamp set called Artistically Inked to make this card. This stamp set has coordinating dies called Artistic Dies. I am happy to say that both of these products are being carried over into the next catalog. This card was fairly easy to make and did not take a lot of time at all. First I stamped the flowers and the center of the larger flower in Misty Moonlight and Daffodil Delight ink. By the way, Misty Moonlight is one of the InColors that will be retiring on May 3rd. After stamping the flowers, I cut them out using the dies. Next I stamped the background on a piece of Basic White cardstock multiple times just using one stamp. I adhered the flowers to the background. Then I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder. Lastly I added a few of some retired InColor enamel dots.

Although this stamp set and coordinating dies will be available in the new catalog, you will be be able to get the bundle savings so if you like this set, you should order it by May 2nd and save 10%

Stampin Up Artistically Inked

Expressions In Ink is a gorgeous suite that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This suite of products includes the stamp set called Artistically Inked, the coordinating Artistic Dies (and you can save 10% if you purchase them in a Bundle), Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack. The Ephemera Pack is a set of 50 various gold foil pieces and 100 adhesive backed sequins. The Designer Series Paper is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It has the alcohol inked looking backgrounds with gold foiling mixed in. It is so pretty in the catalog but is even prettier in person. The Artistically Inked stamp set is a DisINKtive stamp set. This means that one stamp creates different opacities which give the image more depth.

To make this card I first cut out two of the large leaves in Evening Evergreen card stock and adhered them to a piece of Soft Succulent card stock using Multipurpose Glue. This glue is great for adhering intricate die cuts. Then I stamped the flower in Polished Pink ink and the small leaves using Evening Evergreen ink and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink and layered everything together. It was a fairly easy card to make but still looks intricate.

Stampin Up Artistically Inked

Expressions In Ink is a new Suite in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021/2022 Annual Catalog and it is gorgeous! The suite includes the stamp set called Artistically Inked, coordinating Artistic Dies, Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack (which are gold foil precut pieces of leaves and other shapes and some adhesive backed sequins.

I think the star of this suite is the Designer Series Paper. It is 12 two-sided sheets of 12′ x 12′ paper with gorgeous patterns. It looks like they were made using alcohol ink. I love alcohol ink backgrounds but they can be so messy to do so this paper allows you to have those backgrounds without all the mess. Some of the paper have gold foil intertwined in the designs. It is just beautiful!

To make this card I first layered a piece of the Expressions Ink Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper onto a Basic White card base. Then I adhered two pieces of Basic White card stock using Adhesive Sheets and used the largest Artistic Die to cut it out. I had to run it through the Cut & Emboss machine a few times to cut it all the way through. I did this twice so the image is actually four layers. I wanted to do this so the design had a little bit of dimension.

The last thing I did was stamp the sentiment in Versamark using my Stamparatus. I used it because I wanted to heat emboss it a few times so it was a little bolder. That is the best thing about the Stamparatus because you can stamp over and over again in the same exact spot. In-between each time I stamped it, I sprinkled White Embossing Powder and heated it with my heat gun. Then I put it back in the SAR and repeated the same procedure three times. I also added some Genial Gems to add a little sparkle.
