Beautiful Bouquet

I don’t know about you, but I am always seeing card inspiration everywhere I go.  Rob thinks I am a little crazy but if you are a stamper, I am sure you do the same thing.  The other day I was in an unnamed craft store buying some candles and saw this pretty wreath.  It was made of grapevine and had artificial flowers on one side.  I took a picture of it because I knew I could make a pretty card with the same layout.

To make this card I first stamped the circle from the stamp set called Swirly Frames in Soft Suede Ink.  Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet in Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Old Olive inks.  I cut them out using the matching dies called Bouquet Bunch.  This stamp set and matching dies are big sets.  The stamp set has 37 stamps in it and there are 21 dies.  Both of them are being carried over into the new Annual Catalog.

What gives you inspiration?  I would love to know.

Beautiful Bouquet & Be Mine

Hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits can be used all year round.  I know some of you have purchased these dies and put them in the back of the pile after February 14th.  You don’t have to!  Here is an example of a birthday, wedding or any special day card using a heart from this set.

To make this card, I first stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Stitched All Around in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I cut it out using one fo the hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  I lightly traced around the heart with a pencil on another piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set around the pencil mark.  The colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, and Daffodil Delight.  I then added a few of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins to give the sentiment a little color.  I added some Foam Adhesive strips to the back of the piece of cardstock with the image on it and layered it onto the Whisper White card base.

Beautiful Bouquet

Here is another card using the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.  This stamp set has matching Framelits called Bouquet Bunch but I didn’t use them on this card.

Every morning Emma (my dog) and I take a walk before we do anything else.  Well, that is not true because Emma has to eat the second she gets up so after she eats we go for our walk.  Our house is located on a private dirt road so there isn’t usually any traffic.  The cottage is different though.  If we go early in the morning there is not many cards but if we go later, there is a lot of traffic and it is going fast.  Emma is trained to come to me whenever a car get close so we are pretty safe.  There was one morning when Rob came with us and someone driving a truck did not see us at all.  All three of us were about to jump out the way when the driver saw us at the last minute.  That was scary.

Anyway, the reason I am telling you all of this is because there is a house that has a beautiful flower garden in the front.  Her flowers are all purple, yellow and pink.  It is a beautiful combination of Irises, peonies and a few others.  That is where I got the inspiration for this card.

The colors I used for this card are Gorgeous Grape, Pineapple Punch, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green.  The ribbon is gorgeous in person.  It is called 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon in Gorgeous Grape.  It also comes in Bermuda Bay and Poppy Parade.

By the way, this was the sunset picture on June 21st (Summer Solstice).  It was gorgeous!

Jar Of Love Wreath

I had fun making wreaths one day a while ago.  I made another one last week using the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.  This time I decided to use the stamp set called Jar Of Love.  I “love” that little goldfish.  It always reminds me of going to the local Firemen’s Fair where you throw ping pong balls into a jar and you win a fish.  The last time we went to that fair my youngest son, Zachary, named his fish George (HW) Bush.  You can see how long ago that was!  They don’t even have these fairs anymore.  Normally these goldfish would die in a week or two but George Bush lived for a very long time!  It was sad when he did die.  We had a little funeral, flushed and George Bush swirled away.

The colors I used for this card are Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, and Basic Black. The little HELLO stamp is from Beautiful Bouquet.

Beautiful Bouquet Wreath

I made this for my friend and Downline, Char.  Char and I have been friends since our kids were little.  My youngest son, Zachary was a difficult baby and I decided I needed to stay home with him so I quit my job and took some kids in to help with the loss of income.  Char has three children and I watched them while she worked.

Char is one of the reasons I became a Demonstrator in the first place.  We belonged to a stamp club where the Demonstrator stopped and she talked me into joining and starting may own club.  Then Char became a downline last year during Sale-a-bration.  Last week she promoted within the Stampin’ Up! family which, in turn, made me promote!  Yay for both of us.  I am super excited about it.

I decided to make this card as a thank you to Char because I love the sentiment and it fit perfectly.  I used the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet which is in the Annual Catalog.  It has a set of matching dies called Bouquet Bunch and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  I didn’t use the dies this time but they are beautiful. The colors I used are Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Basic Black.  I think it is a sweet, simple card that conveys my feeling for Char.

Remember, now is a great time to join Stampin’ Up!.  Normally you get to choose $125 worth of product for $99 (plus tax, free shipping!) but during Sale-a-bration you get an additional TWO stamps sets of your choice at no charge!   Then you get to enjoy 20% (or more) off all your future purchases!  How awesome is that!!   Just click on the Join Now button to the right of this post.  There is no obligation to buy another thing but everyone loves a discount so you just might!

Congratulations, Char on your promotion and thank you for helping me promote too!

A Color Stamp Off Challenge

Good morning!  Every other Friday is the day Buffy, Jackie and I do a Stamp Off Challenge.  Today we have a color challenge.

These color are part of the 2016 In Colors.  They will be retiring on May 31st, which makes me sad.  I love this set of In Colors.  As a reminder, if you like them you should purchase them pretty soon.  Once the retirement list comes out they disappear quickly.

Here is my card using these colors:

I decided to use the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.  This set has matching Framelits called Bouquet Bunch and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  First I stamped the stems and leaves in Emerald Envy on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  Then I stamped the flowers in Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo and cut them out using my Big Shot and the matching dies.  I know it is hard to see, but the piece of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock I used for the background was embossed using a new Embossing Folder the is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog called Simple Stripes.

Now, lets go see what fantastic creations Jackie and Buffy made.  I am always awed by their creativity.

Hello Friend

As you all probably know by now, I love wreath stamps.  I have purchased every single one that Stampin’ Up! has produced and I will never give them up.  I don’t know why I love them so much but it is what it is.  The wreath in Hello Friend is one of my favorites that I own.  It is super easy to stamp and you can decorate it any way you wish.  In this case, I used the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  The flowers were just the right size and I love the font in this set.  It is elegant but fun too.  The best part is this stamp set has matching dies called Bouquet Bunch Framelits and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

The colors I used for this card are Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  I also used the Fresh Fig 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon.  Using ribbon is part of my new catalog resolution.  I am not doing as well as I wished but I am getting better!

A Backwards Eclipse Card

Every knows how Eclipse Cards are the biggest rage right now.  I even posted two of them in the last couple of weeks.  I decided that a backwards Eclipse Card might be just as nice.  Normally, you stamp the entire background of a piece of cardstock and then cut out the letters and layer them back using Dimensionals.  This time I cut the letters from Large Letters in a plain piece of Whisper White cardstock and then stamped the letters using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp set.  The colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight.  Then I pieced the letters back into the piece of Whisper White cardstock that I originally cut the letters out of using Stampin’ Dimentionals.  I love the Eclipse Cards but I love this backwards card too.

The “Happy” sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  I used the stamp that says Happy Birthday but I covered the “Birthday” with tape, inked the stamp and them removed the tape so only the “Happy” was stamped.

Painted Harvest

Here is another new stamp set that is in the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  This one is called Painted Harvest.  This stamp set has an amazing matching punch called Leaf Punch and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a  Bundle.  I have been waiting for a leaf punch forever (and so have my customers).  I think it will be very popular so if you like it, order it soon.

The stamp set is a two step stamp set.  This means you use two or more stamps to make one image.  As you can see in the card the flowers are two colors.  I stamped the background flower in Peekaboo Peach and the inner part of the flower with Pumpkin Pie ink.  The leaves are in Lemon Lime Twist and the flower centers are Crumb Cake.

The stamp set and Punch are part of a suite that Stampin’ Up! offers.  I love that they put products together in a suite so there is no guessing what products go together.  The suite has Designer Series Paper called Painted Autumn, 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and Touches of Nature Elements which are flowers and leaves in white washed wood.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.

I do have to say, as much as I love all the new products, I am having a hard time getting myself to sit down and stamp.  The problem is I have this view to look at every day and every night.  It is hard to keep my eyes off of.  I’ll be better when we move back home and my view is of the basement walls!
