Beauty Abounds

This is a quick and easy card to make when you are in a hurry to send a birthday card (because you forgot about a very important someone in a moment of forgetfulness) but you still want to make a card and not purchase one. Really though, does anyone buy cards anymore? If you do I can show you a way to make your own very easily.

The colors I used for this card are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral. I used the stamp set called Beauty Abounds to stamp the bubbles. This set actually has two bubble stamps in different sizes and they are my favorite part of this set. I thought the card needed a bit more so I used a small stamp from Painted Harvest to add the little dots in Granny Apple Green.

I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the stamp set called Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Today is my sister, Emily’s birthday. (This isn’t the card I made for her. I forgot to take a picture of that one). Emily is an amazing person. She is kind, patient and thoughtful. I wish I could be half the person she is. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Emily!

Beauty Abounds is a stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Occasions Catalogs. It has an amazing set of dies called Butterfly Beauty Thinlits. If you have not seen these dies, you need to look at them. There are 20 dies in this set and two of them go together to make a huge image of butterflies. If you buy the stamp set and the dies together in a Bundle, you can save 10%.

The colors I used for this card are Gray Granite, Merry Merlot and Night of Navy. These colors are part of the Neutrals family of inks and they all look gorgeous together. I always have a hard time picking out colors but Stampin’ Up!® makes it easy by putting their colors together in a group. Another way to discover colors that go together is to look at the Stampin’ Up!® catalogs at their Designer Series Paper. They come up with some great colors that I would never think of.

This is a very quick and easy card to make. I first stamped the bubbles in all three colors and also stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot. I stamped the butterflies in Night of Navy and Merry Merlot and cut them out using the matching dies. The whole card took longer deciding on the colors than it did to make it.
