2021 – 2023 Stampin’ Up!® InColors

Hello everyone.

This is my favorite time of year in the world of Stampin’ Up!®.  It is when the new Annual Catalog is on the horizon and Demonstrators can preorder some of the new products.  One of the fun things is we get to see the new InColors.  Of course, it is a sad time of year too because so many products are retiring but the new definitely outshines the retiring.

Here are the 2021-2023 InColors.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?  I can not wait to start using them.

Here is a card I made using the new colors.

Stampin Up Wreath Builder Dies

I started with the Wreath Builder Dies.  These dies coordinate with the stamp set called Arrange A Wreath.  These are both retiring but you can still buy them in a Bundle and save 10% until May 3rd.  I cut out the wreath once in Evening Evergreen and once in Soft Succulent.  Then I cut the flowers using Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.  The centers of the Polished Pink flowers are from the die set called Pierced Blooms.  Then I added another sneak peek by using the new 2021-2023 InColor Jewels that will be in the new Annual Catalog.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Best Year.

Below are also some comparisons of the new InColors to some of our present colors so you can see the differences.  The middle colors are the new ones.

I haven’t decided which one is my favorite because they are all beautiful!

Best Year

During the month of February, Rob and I went to Florida for the entire month.  It was heavenly to have warm weather and sunshine almost every day.  The only bad part was I did not bring any of my stamping products.  The time share we stayed in only has one table and Rob is working from home so he needed it.  Therefore, I didn’t really have a place to stamp.  This meant that during the month of January I had to make, photograph and write posts for all of February and the first week of March as well as make my normal January posts.  As you can imagine, my cards had to be simple and my posts short.

This was the original card I was going to use for our Stampin Blends Stamp Off Challenge a couple of weeks ago but I decided that, although it is pretty, it was not Stamp Off Challenge worthy.

To make this card, I took a piece of the black and white True Love Designer Series Paper and instead of coloring the flowers, I colored the background using my dark Highland Heather Stampin Blends.  It is much easier to use the Blends than the Markers because the Blends don’t know coloring lines as much as the Markers.  It did take a bit of time to color the background because you have to be careful not to get too close to the flowers because the ink might blend into them.

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Best Years  in Highland Heather ink and cut it out using a die from Hippo & Friends.  Then I took an epoxy heart and colored that using the dark Pool Party Blends.  I wrapped a piece of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon and the Designer Series Paper and then put the cut out sentiment over it using Stampin Dimensionals.

Coming Home

Stampin Up Coming Home

Coming Home is part of the Trimming The Town Suite.  It has coordinating dies called Home Together, as well as Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments.  It is also the Stampin’ Up!® Making a Difference Suite in the 2020 August – December (also know as the Holiday) Catalog.  Stampin’ Up!® donates $3 to charities devoted to adoption, foster care and infertility for every stamp set sold so, not only is the suite cute, it also helps a good cause.

There are so many things I love about this suite.  The first thing is the Volkswagen Bug stamp.  My first car ever was a blue bug.  I have told that story before so I won’t do it again.  Just know bugs and Northern New York do not go together in the winter!  The other thing I love about this bundle it includes two dies that are sloping.  One has trees attached and the other is plain.

To make this card, I first stamped all the images on Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black Ink and colored them using my Stampin Blends.  Then I cut them out using the coordinating dies.  The house is actually three pieces all put together. Then I cut out the sloping hill with the trees and colored them too.  I layered this on Night Of Navy cardstock that I had splattered with white ink.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Best Year.  This stamp has a second line to it but I didn’t want to use that on this card so I placed a piece of Washi Tape over it before inking the stamp up.  This is called masking.  Just make sure you pull off the piece of tape after inking it and before stamping it.  Believe me.  I have forgotten to do that many times!

Best Year & Best Plaid & A Sneak Peek

Hello everyone.  It is time for another stamp off challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  This week we are having a color challenge.  These are the colors we need to use.

I decided to use So Saffron, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.

Best Plaid, Best Year

I just love the new Best Plaid dies.  They are so much fun to make all different looking plaids.  Plus, they are super easy to use.  The Best Plaid dies are bundled with the stamp set called Best Year.  You can save 10% if you purchase them in a Bundle.

One hint I need to give you is if you want to line all the different pieces it is best to glue them all together and then cut them out either using a die or if you have a really good cutter that will cut out multiple layers at one time, you can use that.  In my case, I layered everything on top of a larger piece of Whisper White cardstock and then cut it all out at once using the Stitched Rectangle die.  It was four layers so I ran it through my die cutting machine a few times.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink and cut it out using a die from the set called Tasteful Labels.  Then I stamped it again in Highland Heather ink and cut it so it make a 1/2″ strip.  Then I used a new punch that will be in the Holiday Catalog beginning in August called Banners Pick a Punch.  This is going to be a must have product.  It cuts three different sized banners in two different shapes.

Now, Let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made using these beautiful colors.  They always give me such good ideas!

Only a week left for Bonus Days!! For every $50 you spend during the month of July you earn a $5 coupon towards your August purchases. Purchase $50 and you get one coupon. Purchase $100 and you get two!  There is no limit as to how many coupons you can earn.
