Beauty Abounds

This is a quick and easy card to make when you are in a hurry to send a birthday card (because you forgot about a very important someone in a moment of forgetfulness) but you still want to make a card and not purchase one.  Really though, does anyone buy cards anymore?  If you do I can show you a way to make your own very easily.

The colors I used for this card are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral.  I used the stamp set called Beauty Abounds to stamp the bubbles.  This set actually has two bubble stamps in different sizes and they are my favorite part of this set.  I thought the card needed a bit more so I used a small stamp from Painted Harvest to add the little dots in Granny Apple Green.

I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the stamp set called Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Today is my sister, Emily’s birthday. (This isn’t the card I made for her.  I forgot to take a picture of that one). Emily is an amazing person.  She is kind, patient and thoughtful.  I wish I could be half the person she is.  I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Emily!

Pennant Parade Birthday

DSC01359

I made this quick and easy birthday card using the stamp set called Pennant Parade.  You just stamp the pennants and then punch them out using the matching punch called Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  The happy day stamp is from the set called Happy Day (imagine that!).  I am not sure how well you can see it, but I embossed the Marina Mist card stock with little hearts.  You can get this embossing folder in a set with two others called Adorning Accents.  One of the other folders in this set is a scalloped embossing folder and the third is a flourish design that looks great on the edge of an envelope.  Both of them have matching Edgelits also called Adorning Accents.
