Patterned Party is another stamp set that is going to retire at the end of this month. It is a great birthday set because it has gifts, candles, balloons and a cake included with it. What more could you want for a birthday card?

Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card

I love the Pop ‘N Cuts Card Base that is in the Occasions Catalog. Not only does it make cute cards with the Pop ‘n Cuts Dress Form, you can also make cards that have other shapes beside the dress form. This next card, I used the Card Base and the Dress Form but then cut off the dress safe and covered it with the Top Note Bigz Die to make a Pop Up Gift Card holder.

Make A Wish Z-Fold Card

This card uses a fun fold called the Z-Fold. It is actually a very simple card to make even though it looks complicated. It uses a piece of card stock that is 5 1/2 x 12 inches. Then you score it at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″. Put a pencil mark at 3″ from the bottom on both ends and cut it from the 4″ score mark to the pencil mark and then the 8″ score mark to the other pencil mark. Then decorate and you are done! I put a belly band around the card to keep it closed. The band is 1 1/4″ x 9 1/4″. Score it at the 2 1/2″ mark and the 6 5/8″ mark.

The stamp set I used is from the Occasions Catalog and is called Make a Wish. The Designer Series Paper is also from this catalog and is called Print Poetry.

Pop ‘n Cuts Secret Garden

Yesterday I showed you a gift card holder I made using the Pop ‘n Cuts Card Base and Dress Form. Today I have made another card using these items but again, by cutting the dress form out and replacing it with something else. In this case, I used the stamp set called Secret Garden and the matching Framelits (buy the bundle to save money) to make my pop up card.

Round Array & Designer Typeset

Stampin Up! makes so many stamp sets that it is hard to show every single one to my Club members since we only meet once a month. This next card shows a couple of the new sets because I am just running out of time! The first set is Stampin Up’s new Photopolymer Stamps and is called Designer Typeset. This is SU’s first set of clear stamps and is being offered on a trial basis. The second stamp set is a sneak peek from the 2013/2014 Annual Catalog that will be out on May 31st. It is called Round Array and matches the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch from the Occasions Catalog. Here is another card using the A Round Array stamp set which will be in the new annual catalog coming out in June. You can order this set now as a sneak peek item. It matches the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch that is in the Occasions Catalog. If you order it before May 31st you can get a discount by ordering the bundle! The punches fit great in the Soda Pop Tops that I flattened using my Big Shot.

Beyond Plaid Man Card

I have a couple of male friends who are having birthdays this spring and they are BIG birthdays! Making a card for a man is difficult for me but I thought the Beyond Plaid stamp set would be a good set to use. A couple of months ago I was able to purchase the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Big Shot die using a 50% off discount because I held a workshop that qualified for this discount (you can have one too! Call me and I will give you the details!). It is perfect for making birthday cards with a specific number in mind.

For my card I used two stamp sets. The first one is Aviary which has cute little birds and bird cages in it. I used Summer Silhouettes to make the leaves and flowers for the bird cage to hang off of.

One of the things you may notice is that I used Tangerine Tango brads. Stampin Up! doesn’t sell this color brad. What I did was take a different color Stampin Up! brad, dip it in Versamark Ink and then dip it in Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder. Then I used my Stampin Up! Heat Tool to melt the powder so now I had Tangerine Tango brads! Very easy!
