Bloomin’ Heart Valentine

Bloomin Heart, Sealed With Love, Valentine, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

I just got back from a quick trip to drive my 91 year old mother to Florida for the winter.  My mom is pretty amazing for being 91 (almost 92 as she says!).  She takes very little medication, lives on her own and still (gulp) drives.  Now, she doesn’t go long distances (thankfully) but she can still go to the bank and grocery store easily.  Mind you, she NEVER drives when I am in the car.  I do.  I am sure many of you can relate to that.

Anyway, I need to get caught up on my Valentine’s Day cards so you might see a lot of them for the next week or so.  I decided to dig out an oldie but goodie set of Thinlits called Bloomin’ Heart.  I love this set of Thinlits because it is so elegant looking.  I added some Wink Of Stella on the cut out but you can’t really see it in the picture.  It adds just the right amount of sparkle without being too overwhelming.

The sentiment if from a new stamp set that is in the Occasions Catalog called Sealed With Love.  This is a darling set that has matching Framelits called Love Notes.  You can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.

A Super Sparkly Valentine

Bloomin Heart, Bloomin Love

The hard thing about taking photographs and not being a professional photographer is I can’t seem to get the perfect picture to show you the amazing sparkle on this card.  Both the heart and flowers are made out of Glimmer Paper (Blushing Bridge and Dazzling Diamonds).  If you could see it twinkle in the light, you might be blinded.  Maybe it is a good thing I can’t take great pictures!

The heart is cut out using the new Bloomin Heart Thinlits Die.  It is so beautiful and elegant.  It is a very intricate die but there are no more worries about having to poke out all those little pieces.  Stampin’ Up! is now offering the Big Shot Die Brush which pops out all those pieces for you.  I wish Stampin’ Up! sold that product back when they sold those beautiful, yet intricate doily dies.  They were gorgeous but not a lot of fun to pick out all those pieces!

Bloomin’ Heart

Bloomin Heart, Stampin Up

I absolutely love the new Thinlits Dies that are in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  There are so many to choose from that everyone is sure to find one (or three) that they love.  I made this card using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die.  I purposely did not put a sentiment on it because I thought it really could be used for just about any occasion.  It could be a birthday card, thank you card, anniversary card, sympathy card or a Valentine’s Day card.  I could send it as it is or I can add a sentiment if I wanted to.  This shows that so many products that Stampin’ Up! offers can be used in so many different ways.  Don’t forget to order the new Big Shot Die Brush.  It pokes out all those little pieces for you!

Bloomin’ Heart

Bloomin Heart Thinlits, Bloomin Love

This is the second card we made at our monthly Stamp Club Meeting.  It used a set of new dies called Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits that are in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  There is also a stamp set called Bloomin’ Love and if you buy it in a bundle you can save 15%.

I think this die is so pretty.  In the past, it was hard to cut out dies like this.  It is not anymore!  Stampin’ Up! now sells the Precision Plate which works really well with intricate dies.  In addition this this, they sell the new Big Shot Die Brush which is awesome!  Here is a video showing how easy it is to get the little pieces out of intricate dies.

As you can also see, we used the Happy Heart Embossing Folder for the background.  The flower pieces are cut out of the new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper which is also in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  Lastly, the banner is cut out using the new Large Numbers Framelits Dies.
