Watertcooler Wednesday WWC44

Today is Wednesday which means it is another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!  This time the challenge was given to us by Buffy.  It is a “Anything Goes” challenge.  The only rule is you have to have a wedding theme.  You can make a card or a 3D project.  Anything you want as long as it has a wedding theme.

Thoughts & Prayers, Bravo

I decided to make a card using the stamp set called Thoughts & Prayers.  This set has been around for a long time.  It really is a beautiful set to use for a sympathy card but it also has other uses.  I used the branch stamp to make a wreath.  I stamped it in Versamark and then embossing it using White Embossing Powder.  The ‘congratulations” is from the stamp set called Bravo and I cut it out using the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits.

Introducing the New 2015/2016 In Colors

In Colors, Bravo

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demo is you get to order some of the merchandise from the new catalog before it comes out.  I always order the new In Colors because I can’t wait to see them!  I got my box in the mail and couldn’t wait to open it up to see the new colors!

This year the In Colors are called (from the bottom up) Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.  Don’t the names make you hungry?!?

Here is a picture of the front cover of the new catalog.  I can’t show you what is inside yet.  If you would like a copy, let me know.  I should be getting them in this week sometime.  They are free if you come pick one up.

The sentiment on this card is from the stamp set called Bravo.  I am happy to report that it is being carried over into the new catalog.  It is a great set for graduations and weddings!

Bravo!

Bravo

Graduations are coming up very soon and Bravo is a great stamp set to use for this wonderful occasion.  This stamp set has 13 fairly large stamps included with it that all say Bravo in different ways.  It also can be used for weddings or any other occasion where you want to congratulate someone.

I believe Washi Tape is one of the best inventions ever!  It makes it so easy to add some color to your cards.  Stampin’ Up! offers Washi Tape is packages of 3-5 rolls.  All the colors coordinate with each other so you can use all of them on one card.  This set of Washi Tape is called Retro Fresh and sadly, it is retiring in May.

As most of you know, I became a grandmother last week.  You might as well get used to seeing pictures of Madelyn because she is the cutest baby ever!  Here I am with her when she was only a couple of hours old.  She might end up with crazy hair like mine!

Bravo Party Pennants

Bravo, Party Pennants

Graduations from college and high school are going to be happening in the very near future so it is not too early to start making cards.  This card uses the stamp set called Bravo.  It is a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I also used a Big Shot Die called Party Pennants on this card.  It is a Bigz die so you can cut out 3-4 of the shapes all at one time.  I love this Big Shot Die and I am really hoping it does not go on the retired list that comes out on April 21st.

I have been talking about the retirement list for a while now.   Sometimes merchandise runs out on the first day it is posted.  Don’t miss out on anything and order today before your choices are no longer available.  If you love those Retiring In Colors (Coastal Cabana is one of my favorite) you better order today.  In Colors are one of those things that sell out on the first day.

Watercooler Challenge Card

This week’s Watercooler Challenge Card is a color challenge designed by me!  It is a lot of fun to share in this challenge.  Each time we do it, another member gives the challenge for the rest of the group.  Some do sketch challenges (like last time), others do color challenges, picture challenges and stamp set challenges.  It is great because it mixes it all up.

Below is the color challenge we had to use.  It uses Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Sahara Sand.

Here is the card I made using these colors.

Bravo, Watercooler Challenge

The sentiments are from the stamp set called Bravo.  It is a great set to use for graduations, obtaining employment (You know.  When your kids finally gets a job with benefits!) or other celebrations.   I embossed them with Calypso Coral Embossing Powder.  Embossing is a great way to make your sentiments pop with a little shine.

Bravo!

Bravo

I made this quick and easy card in just a few minutes using a Photopolymer stamp set called Bravo.  This set is in the 2014/2015 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It has every stamp you would need to congratulate someone for graduating, having a baby, getting married or anything else you would want to congratulate someone for.  I also used the What’s Up Punch.  This punch has two different arrows to punch out.  I punched three arrows in Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.  These are very tropical colors, don’t you think?

Project Life & Bravo

Project Life, BravoI love the Project Life Accessory Kits that Stampin’ Up! offers because they have a lot of cards and accessories you can use for your scrapbooking projects as well as for making cards.  Each card is double sided so you have a lot to choose from.  I took one of the cards from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection, cut it down a little bit to fit on the cardstock and just stamped a couple of sentiments from the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set.  The little heart in the corner is also from the Project Life Card Collection.  The whole card took me about 3 minutes to make.  It can’t be much easier than that!

Bravo For Project Life

Bravo, PLxSU

As you know, Stampin’ Up! is now carrying Project Life.  Project Life is a great way to scrapbook, especially for those who don’t have time.  They have pre-made cards, stickers, and stamps so it makes it really easy to put together a scrapbook page.  I am not a scrapbooker but I love to use Project Life to make cards.  All I did for this one, is Stamp the “hip-hip hooray!”, “you did it!” (both of which are from the stamp set called Bravo) and the stars on a piece of Project Life cardstock, add a couple of arrows and attached it to cardstock.  It was very easy and quick to do.  You can’t make a card much easier than that!

Bravo! You Did It!

Bravo

This is a quick and easy card to make for any celebration. It could be used for a graduation card or an anniversary card.  It could also be given to someone who had a promotion or just did something wonderful.  The thing that makes this card so easy is the All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape  It is easy to adhere.  It is sticky enough to stay on your paper but it doesn’t stick to itself (well it does stick to itself but it is easy to un-stick).  It certainly is a lot easier than cutting strips of paper and adhering them to  a card. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really need to.

Caribbean Holiday Home

Holiday Home

When I first saw the stamp set called Holiday Home in the Annual Catalog, I thought it was really cute.  I love the flying Santa in his Sleigh, the lamp post, and the a couple of the other little stamps that came with it.  Of course, one of the best parts is that is has matching Framelits!  I always love those!

Whenever I order something from Stampin’ Up! I always get a shipping notice from UPS so yesterday I knew this stamp set and Framelits would be arriving today.  I woke up in the middle of the night (you know how that goes if you are over the age of 40) and thought it would look really cute using the houses in Caribbean colors.  The first thing I did when I got home was open my Stampin’ Up! box (can you believe my UPS man delivered before 6:30?)  and run to my stamp room to try out this new idea.  I think it came out really cute and now you know this set can be used for something other than holidays.  All I need now is to pretend I am in the Caribbean!
