Last Day To Order In Time For Christmas

Today is the last day you can order and still receive the products before Christmas.  After this day Stampin’ Up! won’t guarantee your package will arrive in time (unless you expedite).  You need to leave that Wish List out today so your spouse or better half can see it.  I mean let’s face it.  Wouldn’t you rather have stamps or a Big Shot then a frying pan or vacuum purchased Christmas Eve because he or she could not think of anything else to get you while wandering around the stores at the mall?  If you think they will need help ordering, tell them to email me and I’ll help them.  I am sure they will appreciate not having to shop at 5:00 on Christmas Eve!

Speaking of wishes, I made this birthday card for a friend of mine.

I used the stamp set that is part of a Suite in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual catalog.  The Suite is called Broadway Bound and includes the stamp set called Broadway Birthday, a set of matching dies called Broadway Lights Framelits (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle), Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments.  One for the fun things about this suite is some of the dies cut out some of the designs in the Designer Series Paper such as the hats I used on the card.

The colors I used on this card are Lemon Lime Twist, Lovely Lipstick and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Happy Birthday, Ann.  I hope you had a terrific day!

Broadway Birthday Fun Fold Card

At first glance this card looks pretty boring.  The fun part happens when you pull the sides of it.

There is a nice surprise inside!  This is called a Double Slider Card.  You can find the directions on how to make it on YouTube.  It is not very hard to make.  You can make it totally by hand or use a set of dies.  The part that takes the longest is decorating all the panels.  I will tell you it involves a plastic bag on the inside and I actually used a dog’s poop bag.  Don’t tell but it worked perfectly!

I used the stamp set called Broadway Birthday and the matching Framelits called Broadway Lights.  They are part of a Suite called Broadway Bound.  It is my favorite Suite to use when making a birthday card.  The Suite includes the stamp set, the dies, Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper  and some embellishments.

The colors I used for this card are Lovely Lipstick, Lemon Lime Twist, and Basic Black.  I also used the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.

Another Broadway Birthday

Today I am sharing another Broadway Birthday card because another friend of mine has a birthday today!  Kim is my friend and a Downline.  She was my first Downline so she will always be special to me because of that and so much more.  Kim is one of the nicest, most generous people I know.  She will do anything for anyone.  A friend of her’s recently passed away and she flew from Florida to New York to take her friend’s mother to a wedding.  Not too many people are that thoughtful.  Kim is very special.

I made this card using the stamp set called Broadway Birthday.  This set has matching dies called Broadway Lights and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The colors I used for this card are Petal Pink, Gorgeous Grape, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch.  It is a simple but fun card.

Happy Birthday, Kim.  You are an awesome person and I hope you have a fantastic birthday.

A Fun Fold Broadway Birthday

Today is my friend, Buffy’s birthday.  Buffy is another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Virginia.  At first we were just virtual friends but eventually got to meet each other at Stampin’ Up!’s 25th anniversary convention in Salt Lake City.  We have gone to a lot of these conventions (now known as OnStage) together so now we can say we are real friends and not just online friends.

Buffy is an awesome person.  I adopted her as my Upline since my real Upline pays no attention to me.  Whenever I have a question, a rant, a happy stamping moment, Buffy is the one I go to.  She knows everything about anything Stampin’ Up!.  If I didn’t know better I would say she wrote the policies and procedures because she knows them all by heart.

Happy birthday, Buffy!  I hope you have an awesome day (OBTA & IFLY!!).

I made this birthday card for Buffy using the Broadway Bound Suite of products with a little Paper Pumpkin thrown in.  It is a fun fold card so when you open it, it looks like this:

It is called a Pivot Pop Up card.  If you look on YouTube I am sure you can find the directions.  I can’t remember who I got them from because I found them a long time ago.

The stamp set is called Broadway Birthday.  It has a great set of matching Framelits called Broadway Lights.  I love this set of dies because it has a die that cuts out the large “Wish” that is one the front of the card.  The dies also cut out some of the matching Designer Series Paper (called Broadway Bound) such as the hats on the front and the inside of the card.

The colors I used are Lemon Lime Twist, Lovely Lipstick and black.  I covered a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Broadway Bound DSP on the front and in the inside. Buffy will be so proud of me for using my DSP!  The cake and the balloons are from a Paper Pumpkin kit that recently came out to match the Broadway Bound Suite.

Happy Birthday Buffy.  I hope you have an awesome day!

Broadway Birthday

This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  I have to say we had an awesome time at this meeting.  We had two visitors attend so it was a full house.  Karin used to be a member of our club until she decided to move to Italy!  Can you believe she gave up club to move there?  Karin is so much fun and so enthusiastic.  I am hoping she will return from Italy soon and re-join our group.  Kim also visited us this month.  Kim is a Downline of mine.  Actually, she was my first Downline eight years ago.  Kim makes the most beautiful cards.  I keep telling her she needs to share her talents and teach others but she just loves making them herself.  Kim lives in Florida now so we don’t get visits from her very often.

To make this card we used a Bundle called Broadway Birthday.  This is one of my favorite sets in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  It is part of a Suite that also has Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper, ribbon and embellishments.  If you buy the stamp set (Broadway Birthday) and the Framelits (Broadway Lights) together you can save 10%.

The colors we used for this card are Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite and Basic Black.  We cut the sentiment out using the Classic Label Punch.  The Gray Granite 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon and also comes in Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade.  It is gorgeous and very easy to work with.

Broadway Birthday

One of the great things about Stampin’ Up! is they have been putting products together into “Suites” where everything goes together.  Broadway Bound is the name of one of these Suites.  It includes a stamp set called  Broadway Birthday and matching Framelits Dies called Broadway Lights.  There is also Designer Series Paper (Broadway Bound Specialty), a cardstock pack (which includes Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist and Lovely Lipstick), Black 1/2″ Satin Ribbon, Candle Embellishments and Metallic Pearls.  You can save 10% by purchasing the stamp set and dies in a Bundle.  All of these products go together to make some awesome projects.

To make this card I used the stamp set, the Framelits and the Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The colors are Lovely Lipstick, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Whisper White.

When you look at this card do you notice on crisp the word “wish” is?  That is because I stamped it using the Stamparatus.  This is a must have tool!  It allows you to place a stamp perfectly aligned.  If you don’t quite ink the stamp up you can re-stamp it until it comes out completely solid.  Just in case you haven’t been paying attention for the last six months, here is a video showing how to use the Stamparatus.  Let me just say, you need to have this tool.  Today.

Tropical Chic Meets Broadway Lights

Yesterday was my friend, Renee’s birthday.  She is such an amazing person that the entire country celebrates her birthday!  Actually, she is an amazing person.  She is part of my stamp club and always does a great job making her cards.  Plus, she knew all the new color names before I did!  I think she has the entire catalog memorized by now. Now that is amazing!

One of the fun things about Stampin’ Up! is you can mix and match stamp sets and dies.  They offer “suites” in the catalog to make it easy for people to order things that go together but so many other products can be used with other.  The sky is the limit!

I used the stamp sets called Tropical Chic and Broadway Birthday,  I am pretty sure you can guess which stamps go with each stamp set  but just in case you need some help, the leaves and flowers are from Tropical Chic and the sentiment is from Broadway Birthday.  Both of these stamp sets have matching dies and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  I actually used the matching dies from Broadway Birthday called Broadway Lights to cut out the word “wish”.  The colors I used are Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, So Saffron, Mango Melody and Memento Tuxedo Black.

Happy Birthday Renee.  I hope your day was amazing!
