Black And Gold Wedding Card

I made this card a while ago for a black and gold wedding.  I saw a card using these colors that was a swap at OnStage in April and thought it was gorgeous.  The nice thing about this card is it used a lot of scrap card stock I already had.  I cut out the butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits Dies out of Gold Foil Sheets.  As I was typing this I realized that the sentiment is from a retired set called And Many More.  Opps.  You could always use a different current sentiment just as well.

Washi Tape, Happy Birthday Everyone

I made this card for my friend, Sherry.  Yesterday she had a big birthday.  I mean BIG BIRTHDAY!  I won’t tell you how big but just know it was BIG!  The good thing is she is still very young at heart.

I thought this Happy Birthday stamp would be perfect for her BIG birthday since, well, it is a big stamp!  It is from a hostess set that is in the Annual Catalog called Happy Birthday, Everyone.  You can only buy this set if you either host a party that has $150 in sales or make a purchase of $150 or more.

I cut out the butterfly using the Butterflies Thinlits.  Then I lightly traced around it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock so I could correctly place the Washi Tape.

Buffy’s Thank You

As most of you know, I have a twin sister, Buffy, who lives in Virginia.  We are not really twins, at least not in this lifetime but I wouldn’t be surprised if we were in the past.  She thinks like me.  She has a weird sense of humor like me, snarks like I do and she is a great listener!  Sometimes it is a little scary.

A friend of mine who lives in Sackets Harbor now roasts her own coffee.  I don’t drink coffee but everyone I know who loves coffee loves Kelly’s Sackets Harbor Roasted Coffee.  Buffy is an avid coffee drinker.  As a matter of fact, there was this one incident…oh wait, what happened in Orlando, stays in Orlando.  In any case, I sent Buffy some Sackets Harbor Coffee.  She sent me this beautiful thank you card in return.  I think she did a whole bunch of splatters and ink blobs for the background and then cut the butterfly out using the Butterflies Thinlits.  Isn’t it gorgeous??  I probably should sent a thank you card for the thank you card (my mother in law actually did that once!).

This is Madelyn’s parents and sister.  The hairy one is the sister in case anyone is confused.  They are a beautiful family.
