Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s Stamp Off Challenge. Today’s challenge is a sketch challenge.
I have to admit, I had a hard time with this sketch. I just couldn’t figure it out at first. Then I realized when I had been staring at it and staring at my stamps that the dark strip in the back could be Washi Tape. Then things sort of fell into place.
As you can tell, I actually did not do any stamping on this card. Everything is either die cut, trimmer cut or punched. The Designer Series Paper is from the 2017 Holiday Catalog called Year Of Cheer Specialty Paper. This paper is gorgeous. Each sheet is either gold, silver and copper. Then I used the Starburst Punch with Gold Foil Paper. The “Noel” is from Christmas Stockings Thinlits.
Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made using this sketch. I am sure you will love whatever it is!
I know it is not Thanksgiving yet, but if you make your own Christmas cards you need to start thinking about it. The 2016 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog has a ton of great stamp sets, dies and accessories to make Christmas card creations easier. This is just one example of the many sets you could use.
This card uses the stamp set called Hang Your Stockings. This set has matching dies called Christmas Stocking Thinlits and you can save 30% by purchasing them before November 28th! I love this set because the stockings are so cute. A few years ago, Stampin’ Up had another stocking set that had a matching punch, but this set is so much better. The stockings are bigger plus the dies make so many variations. It has great sentiments and I love the little touch of holly. One of the best parts of this set is the “Noel” die cut. I think that is adorable!
Remember, Thanksgiving is in just a couple of days so think about getting your Christmas hat on!
This is another card we made at our Monthly Stamp Club meeting. It uses the new stamp set called Hang Your Stocking that is in the 2016 Holiday Catalog. This stamp set has matching Thinlits called Christmas Stockings and you can save 10% buy purchasing both in a Bundle. The set of Thinlits includes the cute “Noel” shape too.
Can you see the background of the card? I used this new Specialty Designer Series Paper called Fancy Frost. It is a little different than the other Specialty Papers because it is more of a matte finish instead of glossy. It is spectacular though! There are six different designs and you get two of each of them. You can ink them up or leave them white. I think they are very elegant and add a lot of dimension to a card.
