Color Me Happy With Stampin’ Blends

Stampin’ Blends are the best invention since the napkin!  Ok, who remembers what that is from?  Be careful.  You might show your age!  Anyway, Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers.  That means you can blend two or more colors together to make light areas, dark areas or merge colors together better.  They don’t leave coloring lines like some markers do.  They are awesome.

Another great thing about Stampin’ Blends is you can color Designer Series Paper and ribbon with it.  I did not color the ribbon on this card but you can color white ribbon to make it any of the Blends colors.  I colored the Designer Series Paper called Pick A Pattern using the Dark Bermuda Bay and the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.  I also colors the word “thank” using the Light and dark Bermuda Bay Blends.  It was super easy to do and I love how the Designer Series Paper came out.

If you don’t have any Stampin’ Blends yet, you really should try them.  They are so easy to use that even I could do it!

Color Me Happy

Color Me Happy is stamp set that is only around for a limited time.  Once supplies are gone, this set will be gone forever.  It has a matching card kit also called Color Me Happy.  Stampin’ Up! made these two items in honor of introducing their new Stampin’ Blends.  Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers that come in our exclusive colors.  They come in 12 different Stampin’ Up!  colors plus an Ivory, Bronze and Color Lifter.  Coloring was never so easy!  They don’t show stroke marks because they blend together.  They are perfect for beginner and expert colorers.  If you haven’t tried them I would suggest just buying the light and dark of a couple of colors or you can be a crazy person like me and purchase the entire set all at once!

I used the light and dark Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends on this card.

Color Me Happy

Color Me Happy Stamp Set and the Color Me Happy Card Kit is still available for purchase.  Both as “as supplies last” so once they are gone, they are gone forever.  This card kit is just adorable and perfect for using your the New Stampin’ Blends.  I know you have seen me post cards using the stamp set and the Stampin’ Blends but I completely forgot to actually show you the card the kit makes too.

One of the great things about the Stampin’ Up! kits is they give you step by step instructions how to make each card.  You can make the entire kit the way they designed or you can go outside the box and make your own designs.  The cards above are the way they were designed to be made.  I think they are just so cute.

Here is a video that Stampin’ Up! made showing you how to put the kit together.

Remember this card kit and stamp set are only available while supplies last so if you like it, don’t hesitate to order it.

Vintage Leaves

Sometimes in all the excitement of getting new products, we forget about the awesome older ones.  Although the 2017 Holiday Catalog is full of great products, the 2017/2018 Annual Catalog has some wonderful ones too.  Vintage Leaves is one of those stamp sets that was so popular when it first came out that you saw it being used everywhere.  Of course, it has great set of matching  Framelits called Leaflets.  Any stamp set that has matching dies is awesome!

I made this card using a sketch I found on Pinterest.  Can I find that sketch again?  No, so I apologize for using it without giving credit.  I think it had three squares on it with the ribbon on top.  If it is yours, just let me know and I will give you credit for it.

The sentiment I used is from a new limited time stamp set called Color Me Happy.  This stamp set is still available if you would like it.  Just click on the link below.  I decided to add a little color using the Enamel Shapes in Regals and Brights.

Don’t forget.  Today only Stampin’ Up is offering FREE shipping on all orders!

A Sketch Stamp Off Challenge

Today is our day to have a Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  I love our challenges!  We used to do it weekly but then life got in the way so we decided to go every other week.  This week we have a sketch challenge.

I decided to use a new stamp set and our Stampin’ Blends to make my card.

Have you tried the new Stampin’ Up! alcohol markers called Stampin’ Blends?  They are amazing.  They are sooo amazing that even I can color with them and you all know I am not a very good colorer!  They come in 12 Stampin’ Up! colors as well as Ivory, Bronze and a Color Lifter.  Each color has a light and dark shade that you use to make shadows.  They blend together so easily.

I also used a new stamp set called Color Me Happy which is available while supplies last.    There is a kit to go with this stamp set and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The background was made using one of the new 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders called Ruffled.  These Embossing Folders make a deeper impression (I know it is hard to tell from the picture).

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie did with this sketch challenge.  I am sure you will be amazed.  They are both so talented!

Color Me Happy

Last night we had our Monthly Club meeting.  The ladies got to play with the new Stampin’ Up! Blends that were released yesterday (hot off the press, as they say).  They really liked how easy it was to color with the Blends and how well they worked together. There are actually 26 different Blends you can purchase.  There are 12 Light and Dark Colors, Ivory, Bronze and a Color Lifter.  You can buy each Blend separately or in a Combo Pack.

Stampin’ Up! also released a new stamp set called Color Me Happy and a Project Kit.  Both of these items are “while supplies last” and work perfectly with the new Stampin’ Blends.

To make this card I first stamped the birds and lanterns with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then drew the line afterwards using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  It was much easier to line things up that way.  I colored one bird using the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends and the other bird using the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Blends.  The lanterns were colored using the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Blends.

I know it is a little late for this but I wanted to share my grandchildren’s Halloween costumes.  Madelyn (age 2), Nolan (3 weeks) and Waffles were super heroes and Emory (8 months) was Cookie Monster.  I think they all enjoyed it, except Waffles doesn’t look very thrilled!
