Sweet Cups

I made these cute little cups for my stamp club and for Buffy to give her at OnStage.  Stampin’ Up!® sells these adorable little cups and tops, called Sweet Cups in the Occasions Catalog.  They come in white but you can stamp them or cover them with cardstock or Designer Series Paper.  I covered mine using the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.  I cut out a circle for the top out of Melon Mambo cardstock using the Layering Circle Dies. I stamped the Bunny from Fable Friends and cut it out for my Club Members to put on top because out meeting was close to Easter.  I forgot to take a picture of them when I was done so you can’t see how cute they were.  I stamped Buffy’s sentiment using the stamp set called Eastern Beauty and punched it out using a new punch that will be in the Annual Catalog.  I love this sentiment and I truly feel this way about Buffy.  She is one of my favorite people.  Then, of course, I had to fill them with Easter Candy.  They are called Sweet Cups for a reason!

Unfortunately some of the products I used on these Sweet Cups are retiring.  The cups themselves will be gone at the end of May (or while supplies last), The How Sweet It Is DSP and the stamp set Eastern Beauty are also retiring.

I promised pictures of Madelyn since she turned four last week.  I can’t believe how grown up she is.  She is so funny because she is such a Tom Boy but she also loves to wear sparkly princess dresses and she also loves to play Super Hero.  In the second picture she is A Super Hero Paw Patrol Princess!   I think that about says it all!

Eastern Beauty

Here is another card I made with the stamp set called Eastern Beauty.  If you would like to see more more of them just go to the right of this blog post and there is a search button.  Click on that and scroll down until you see Eastern Beauty.  That will bring up all the cards I made using this set.

Eastern Beauty is part of a Suite that Stampin’ Up! grouped together called Eastern Palace.  This suite has the stamp set plus a set of matching dies called Eastern Medallions Thinlits.  If you order this as a Bundle you can save 10% until May 31st.  If the set carries over, the Bundle deal will be gone.  The Suite also has Designer Series Paper called Eastern Palace as well as some matching embellishments.

To make this card I first stamped the background using Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Calypso Coral ink.  Then I cut the elaborate circle out using an Eastern Medallions die and a Layering Circle die.   I cut a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Circle Dies and placed it behind the elaborate die cut.  I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and cut that out using another of the Layering Circle dies.  Finally I put it all together using a piece of Bermuda Bay 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon.

Eastern Beauty

The Eastern Palace Suite is one of the amazing suites that Stampin’ Up! offers.  The great thing about suites is that Stampin’ Up! does all the matching work for you.  They group together products and colors for you.  Often the suites offer a stamp set, matching dies, Designer Series Paper, embellishments and cardstock.  This one also includes some vinyl stickers called Eastern Gold.  You can almost always save 10% by purchasing the stamps and dies in a Bundle with these suites.

To make this card, I stamped the sentiment in Dapper Denim ink and cut it out using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch.  Then I layered it on top of a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock that I had cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  I layered those on top of a piece of that I had cut out using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies.  The Designer Series Paper is called Eastern Palace.

A Stamp Off Color Challenge

Hello everyone!  Thanks for joining us again on our bi-weekly Stamp Off Challenge.  This week we have a color challenge.

Now, I am not sure if Buffy or Jackie gave us these colors but I do have to admit I had a hard time using them.  They are definitely outside of my comfort zone but after a lot of trial and error, I managed to make this card.

I used the stamp set called Bike Ride.  This set has matching Framelits called Build a Bike and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. The thing I love about this set is  there is a matching Framelit for every piece of the bike.  Plus, the stamp set is a two-step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make an image.  For example, the flower outline is one stamp, the flowers are another and the leaves are a third.  When I was making this card, I tried a bunch of different color combinations for the bike.  This one seemed to work the best.

Then I needed to work on the background.  I tried it with just plain cardstock but it looked too boring.  Then I tried using an Embossing Folder but it didn’t quite look right so I decided to use the Embossing Paste with the brick Decorative Mask.  I like how that turned out much better.

The sentiment is from Eastern Beauty.

Now let’s go see how Buffy and Jackie did with this color combination.

Eastern Palace Circles

It is time for another BS & J Productions Stamp Off Challenge.  Today’s challenge is to use circles.

Here is my card:

I was going to use the Bike Ride stamp set but then I thought that was too obvious (although who really cares if any of us are obvious!) so I went with the Eastern Palace Suite.  This Suite consists of the stamp set called Eastern Beauty and its matching Thinlits called Eastern Medallions.  Both the stamp set and dies are full of different circles so I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  I noticed for the first time the “spray” stamp and tried to figure out how it worked.  It almost looks like one of those spinning fireworks where the fire spray comes out as it turns.  Ok, maybe not but I liked how it looked anyway.

The card also fulfills my promise to use more ribbon this year.  As you know I am on a quest to use more ribbon, Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape.  I guess one out of three isn’t too bad.

Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made.  I’mm so excited I am running around in circles!  Haha!

Eastern Palace Christmas

I know most people celebrate a Christmas in July event but this July I just wasn’t ready for it.  Maybe it was because the weather up here was so nice and I spent more time enjoying the warmth then thinking about a winter holiday.

In any case, Stampin’ Up! sent me a copy of the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog a couple of weeks ago. As a Demonstrator, we get to see it early.  Let me tell you. It is amazing.  There are so many gorgeous holiday stamps in that catalog that you are going to have a hard time choosing which one you want.  If you are like me, you buy a bunch of them anyway.

One of the things I always look for are some holiday sentiment sets.  I love big fonts and I love elegant fonts.  This year, there are a few to choose from (yay!).  I used Snowflake Sentiments on this card.  Isn’t that font just gorgeous?!?

To make this card I used the Eastern Palace Suite.  This suite includes stamps, dies, Designer Series Paper, embellishments and these beautiful Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers.  Everything in this suite coordinates with each other.  Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy to do this.  The only problem you will have is deciding which suite to purchase!

Eastern Palace

Are you sick of this color combination yet?  I really love the new InColor called Lemon Lime Twist (as if you couldn’t tell).  It is such a bright, fun color so expect to see it a lot!

I made this card using the Eastern Palace Suite from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  The suite includes the stamp set called Eastern Beauty and the matching set of dies called Eastern Medallions.  As always with a new stamp set and matching dies, you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  This is a Bundle you really need to own!

The dies in this set are amazing.  Some of them cut out shapes totally and some just cut out parts of a shape.  They are so much fun to mix and match.  This card uses three different dies and a punch (1 1/4″ Circle Punch).

The Designer Series Paper is called Fresh Florals and comes in all the new InColors.  It is a larger package of Designer Series Paper because it has 40 sheets instead of the usual 12.

Eastern Beauty

I have to say that this is my favorite color combination from the 2017/2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It uses two of the InColors (Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist) along with Bermuda Bay.  It is such a happy color combination.  Be prepared to see a lot of cards made with these colors.  They are just so much fun!

I made this card using the stamp set called Eastern Beauty.  This set has matching Thinlits called Eastern Medallions and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  This set was actually released prior to the new catalog coming out and it is really quite popular.   There are over thirty different designs you can cut just using the dies.  That is one of the great things about Stampin’ Up! dies.  Yes, they cut out the usual shapes in the matching stamp set but each set has even more than that.  They are awesome!

Don’t forget I am offering FREE Regular Shipping until June 7th on all orders over $50 as a way of saying thank you to all of my customers!  You can place an order online using the Hostess Code PJ6PNF26 and I will rebate you your regular shipping costs by PayPal or check.  You have to order before 6:00 PM EST on June 7th to get this fabulous deal and you have to use the Hostess Code in order to qualify.

A Sketch Stamp Off Challenge

Hello everyone!  Today is a BS & J Productions Sketch Stamp Off Challenge.  Of course, my now you know that BS & J stands for Buffy, Susan and Jackie.  Every week we have a lot of fun doing one of our challenges.  We don’t share our creations ahead of time so each week is a surprise.  I love that part.

I decided to use the new Eastern Palace Suite products that are in the 2017 Annual Catalog and are available during the month of May in a couple of different Bundles.  If you would like to see the available products you can click HERE.

Here is the card I made.

I used the new In Color called Lemon Lime Twist.  It is one of those colors I had reservations about but soon grew to love.  I must be in the majority because you will see this color everywhere.  It is extremely popular and goes really well with a few of the Stampin’ Up! colors.  I put it with Dapper Denim because the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper pack put these two colors together. In case you are wondering, it also goes really well with Basic Gray and Basic Black.

I did use a couple of the 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes on the two smaller flowers.  These will be retiring at the end of this catalog.  All the Enamel Shapes will be so if you like them order them before they are gone for good.

Now this is the fun part.  Let’s go see what amazing creations Jackie and Buffy made.  They are both awesome artists.
