High Tide & Eclectic Expression

I am beginning to wonder if winter will ever end.  We keep getting a tiny little taste of spring and then bam!  Winter arrives again as if you say “ha ha.  I fooled you again!”.  At least I can add a little spring and summer to my cards.

To make this card I used a stamp set called High Tide.  It is a two step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make one image.  In this case I inked one of the lighthouse stamps with Basic Black and the other with Marina Mist.  It kind of makes it look like a shadow on the lighthouse.  I also stamped the birds and the grass in Marina Mist.  Then I lightly sponged with some more Marina Mist Ink.  The beam of light is So Saffron.

The sentiment is from Eclectic Expressions.  This is a stamp set you can get for free with a $50 order.  It is a fun set with some sentiments, splatters and fun blobs.  I inked it with Basic Black.

There are only a few more days left for Sale-a-bration so don’t forget to place your order before it is too late.  It all ends March 31st.

Eclectic Expressions

There are only 10 days left to Sale-a-brate left! This means that after March 31st all the Sale-a-bration products will be going away (except for the Celebrate You Thinlits and the Basket Weave Embossing Folder) and not eligible to get anywhere.  Although the Celebrate You Thinlits and Basket Weave Embossing Folder will be in the new catalog you will have to pay for them then.  Now, they are free with a qualifying order!   Plus there are only ten days left to get an extra $25 in free product with a $250 order (or workshop order) and only ten more days to join my Stampin’ Up! group and get an additional two free stamp sets of your choice.

To make this card, I first cut out the squares in Pool Party and Bermuda Bay using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Then I cut out the dragonfly using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies in Whisper White.  The sentiment is from one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets called Eclectic Expressions.  This is a fun set with a couple of sentiments and a bunch of swooshes, splatters and blobs (sorry, I can’t think of another word to call them).

Balloon Celebration Dandelion

How many of you have the stamp set called Balloon Celebration?  This set has been around for a while so I am sure there are a lot of you out there.  Did you ever notice that there were two little flowers included in this set?  You may have wondered what are for.  Well, you can make a dandelion out of them!  I do have a do a disclaimer here.  I saw a card that looked totally different than mine but used the dandelion on it so it is not my original idea.  I don’t know who came up with it but I thought it was adorable and decided to CASE (copy and share everything) it.  CASEing is ok in the stamp world.  It is even encouraged.  You just need to give credit where credit is due is you know where it came from.

The sentiment on this card is from one of the new stamp sets that you can earn for free with a qualifying order.  It is called Eclectic Expressions and became available on February 16th.  The rest of the set looks like this:
