Card For An Art Class

I was asked if I wanted to teach a class at the local Art Center. A friend of mine, Amy, is on the Board of Directors and she hooked me up with the Executive Director of the Center. It was a little intimidating but I had a great time.

The first card we made used the stamp set called Kinda Eclectic. This is one of my favorite sets (today, as we all know that changes on a daily basis!). I used Garden Green, Tangerine Tango, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss to make this card. The little flowers are from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and the butterfly was punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

Another Work Of Art

Here is another sample using the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Work of Art that is coming out in the 2014/2015 Annual Catalog that begins June 2nd. I love the saying it comes with. My father used to always says to my sisters and I “You are a piece of work”. Now (if he were alive) I could say “I know! I am a fabulous work of art!”

I inked the chevron stamp using my markers in Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo twice. I cut out a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Starburst Framelits and mounted it on a piece of Island Indigo that I had cut out using the Circles Collection Framelits. Then I punched out the butterfly using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the mounted it with Stampin Dimensionals.

Butterfly Sympathy Card

As much as we hate the thought, we do have to make sympathy cards every now and then. I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) from a card I saw on Pinterest. I apologize that I do not recall who made the original card.

I really loved the colors and the way the butterflies were punched out of the embossed image. I used two butterfly punches. One is the Elegant Butterfly from the Annual Catalog and the other is the Bitty Butterfly Punch from the Occasions Catalog. The embossed image in the background is using the Flower Garden Folder.
