Gold Butterfly Basics

Butterfly Basics

I am so happy that Stampin’ Up! finally was able to get the Butterfly Thinlits Dies back in stock after such a long time.  That slow down on the west coast caused a lot of delays for a lot of companies, including Stampin’ Up!  Thankfully it was settled and the merchandise that was stuck in the stock yard for so many months is finally starting to move.

I used the stamp set called Butterfly Basics which is in the Occasions Catalog.  The Butterfly Thinlits Dies matches this stamp set and you can save 15% by buying them together.  I did happen to see online that both of these items will be in the new catalog which is just awesome because I love this set.

Tips For The New Firm Foam Pads

Here is a great video from Stampin Up with some useful tips on the new Firm Foam Pads.  I love the new pads but there was a learning curve for using them with the best results.  I hope this helps!

Christmas Card Class Part One

Late last month I had the first of three Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stacks classses.  The group made 12 Christmas Cards (4 of 3 designs).  We had a great time.  I really need to start taking pictures of our meetings and classes so I can post them on here.

Here are the cards we made:

May 2012 Club Projects

The first card we made in our May Club meeting uses the retiring set called Awash With Flowers.  I love this set because it is a “two step” stamp set.  The colors we used are Perfect Plum and So Saffron.  The embossing folder is called Houndstooth.

The second card we made uses the retiring set called Trendy Trees.  This is a very simple card to make but so cute!  If you look closely you can see where we scored two lines along the bottom.

The last set we used is called Borderlines.  I love this set.  It was only around for a year so I didn’t have much time to use it.  We made the flowers using the Big Shot die called Best Blossoms.  The colors are Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.

September 2011 Club Cards

Here are a couple of cards using the new Stampin Up Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  It is hard to see the score lines on them but it adds a lot of elegance to a card.  The card on the left used the stamp set Faith in Nature which is a Hostess set.  We “painted” the pear using Watercolor Crayons and Aqua Painters.  The square around the pear was made by inking Block D in Sahara Sand ink and then “stamping” it on card stock.
