Dragonfly Dreams

I am very sad to announce that Stampin’ Up! has decided to end their contract with Becky Higgins who owns Project Life.  Although I am not a scrapbooker, I loved using their products for cards.  The good news is Stampin’ Up! will be offering a new product line in their 2017 Annual Catalog that beings on June 1st.  Stay tuned for that!

I used a Project Life card to make this card.  It is from the set called Hello Lovely.  I have sold so many of these sets to card makers and scrapbookers alike.  It is a beautiful set that uses Crumb Cake, Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky and other beautiful colors.

I used the set of Thinlits called Detailed Dragonfly Dies.  I cut the dragonflies out of Copper Foil Sheets.  These Foil Sheets are so awesome.  They have been by far, the most popular color.  The copper is so rich and beautiful.  Plus Dragonfly Dreams and the Detailed Dragonfly Dies are being carried over into the next catalog!

The stamp set I used is called Endless Thanks.  It comes with the little banner and a ton of sentiments.  First I stamped it in Versamark and then embossed it using Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Sadly, this set is being retired.  I use it so often so I will miss it.  If you like this set  order it soon before it is gone forever.

If you are a fan of Project Life, you should order it soon because once they kits are sold out, they will be gone for good.  You can check out the 2017 Retirement List by clicking on the button to the right of this post.

Christmas Thank You Cards

Endless Thanks, Stars Framelits, Fancy Frost, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

Here is a quick and easy card I made for thanking people for Christmas gifts I received.  I needed something easy because I found I didn’t have a lot of time and wanted to get my thank you cards out.

I used the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper for the background.  I love this paper because it is textured with different designs so it adds a lot of dimension to the card.  This paper is in the 2016 Holiday Catalog and will be retiring when the catalog is over so if you like it you will need to order it before January 3rd.

I cut the star out using the Stars Framelits and This Christmas Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment and banner are from the stamp set called Endless Thanks.

Paper Pumpkin Thank You Cards

Paper Pumpkin, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

The November Paper Pumpkin Kit was one of my favorite kits of all time.  Although I had already made my Christmas cards by the time it came, I decided this kit would make really cute thank you cards for all the gifts I received.  I made one card according to the kit directions but made the rest using a stamp from Endless Thanks.  It fit perfectly with these cards.  If you like this kit, it is still available for purchase.  It is just a refill so you won’t get the stamps or ink, but you do get everything else to make these cards.  You can just use your own stamps and ink to make them any theme you wish.  They don’t just have to be for Christmas.  They make great winter cards too!

You’ve Got This

You've Got This, Endless Thanks

I started to make this card to use as a Watercooler Wednesday Color Challenge card but I just couldn’t figure out how to use one of the colors in it.  I decided I liked it without the last color so I left it alone and made something else for the challenge.

I used the stamp set called You’ve Got This for the flower.  I think is set was made to use with the Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities but since they are discontinued, I decided to just leave it un-colored (I don’t think that is a word but you know what I mean).  The sentiment and banner is from Endless Thanks.  Endless Thanks is a Photopolymer Stamp Set so you can see exactly where to stamp.
